$12,000 for a mauser clone

Euros have to wait like 10 years to get their gun license. I'm jealous then can get cans and we can't in Canada.

why not? are you poor?

all of my guns combined are like $6,000 max
it is annoying cans are banned where I live too, not even muh tax stamp. banned by state law

illegal firearms situation is crazy in Europe

At least you're not in cali where threaded muzzles are banned. I'm happy I can at least have brakes on my precision rifles.

I'm not in cali, but threaded muzzles are semi banned here. you can only have one "assault feature" so only one of my ARs has a pinned break. my other 2 rifles have bare muzzles

assault feature

That sounds like something the government here would say.

hence the quote, since its a retarded law

My Husqvarna 1900 cost me like $380 last year.

We can get a lot of things you guys can't.

Our semi auto market is gutted and handguns are illegal here. I was hoping the law would change and I'd be able to get a revolver but not yet.

that says 3880. are you guys like mexico with the fake 0s?

it is annoying cans are banned where I live too

Always been weird to me that the USA are so hard on cans but allow so much else.
Here a suppressor is pretty much standard equipment and most people use them.

What kind of a revolver were you hoping to buy? If you want recommendations, I can endorse Spohr. Been really happy with my L562.

Sweden uses the Swedish Krona as currency.

dems banned suppressors during the great depression so that people couldn't feed their families "illegally". Suppressors are basically never used in crimes despite being pretty commonly owned at this point. every time a bill comes up to deregulate suppressors someone the only suppressor crime in like 5 years happens. Like in 2017 or something some black shot a tv reporter on tv and recently you had luigi. and basically outside of that no one ever gets killed with a suppressor

so do you just not have pennies?

That's fucking annoying I can imagine.
Took a look at my local stores and it's honestly more common to get a suppressor pre-installed than not now.
Nope. We used to have Öre (10 öre = 1 krona) but they slowly died out. The last öre we had was the 50 öre coin but that was last used in 2010.

Where are all the cool baby killing assault weapons?

Thanks but I can't get one so I won't even think about them. Thinking about getting some kind of 7mm for long range stuff but I've got my bases covered there so I'm going to focus on what I have until I got extra money to spend. Thinking my next funs purchase will be a tier 1 optic and finding a place to do a 1 mile shot.

7mm? You mean 7.62? Weird that you'd say "a 7mm" when it's basically either .308 or .30-06. If I were into long range shooting I'd probably go for a 6.5 or all the way to .338.

Sako and Tikka make good rifles, buy Finnish ok?

So is a soda like 15 kr? and yeah its so fucking retarded and intentional. actually I think the time prior when they were going to have a vote some commie shot a congressman.
everyone always points out how if suppressors were invented today they would be standard/mandated like in yuroland

like a 7mm rem mag or RUM or prc. Not a big priority as the 6.5 covers me out to 1,000 and a bit beyond before my scope runs out of elevation. I've got a tikka and it's pretty nice, would like to swap the barrel but I can wait until the current one is shot out. With my handloads I've found that my savages seem to get the best results, 338LM @ 1,000yd is piss easy but with the 6.5 it's a bit more of a challenge. All the mountains, rolling hills, and trees here make it quite the adventure to find good places for long distance shooting.

7mm could be like 7x57, 7mm mauser which is like .275

mfw it's literally cheaper to get AR target rifles here than other kinds of target rifles

I'm accounting for ammo too. I have a match AR and a regular AR and because .223 is so cheap if you aren't shooting more than 300 yards and you are only shooting at paper you are better off getting an AR

Where are all the cool baby killing assault weapons?

In their own category since it's a new platform.

in brazil you can't even own a replica of a flintlock pistol

So is a soda like 15 kr?

Yeah pretty much for a 0.5l. Good guess.

Sounds like you have it all figured out. Can't really offer much advice or even commentary because my jam is the high speed low drag stuff.

I would not call >50 cpr "cheap", but I suppose in comparison to the bigger calibres especially in match grade but it does hurt to take my AR out because I end up spending at least a hundred every time. I'd honestly plink with my .22 or 9mm instead, much better training too.

.22 is fun. Shot a few hundred rounds with my brother's Glock 44 he uses for sport shooting. Basically no recoil and really accurate.

Ugh I hate glocks, your brother has awful taste. But yes, .22 is cheap and fun to plink with, and it teaches you a lot about ballistics since it's so light and slow if you're into that. It's also really quiet so you can slap a can on and shoot at the summer cabin without bothering anyone. Picrel, mumsie handling my P322 for the first time.

To be honest, the two handguns I've fired was that Glock and a S&W 629 44 Magnum in Florida during a holiday.
So my experience is very limited.
Also, very nice seeing family stuff like that.
Used to shoot a lot with my dad and two uncles at the range.

Honestly my first 9 was also a glock, but after I shot some more I discovered that glocks are actually rather bottom tier. Except as training guns, since they're so garbage that they're hard to shoot well, so in the long run they make you a better shot overall.

Yeah family shooting is really nice. It used to be a shared family hobby between me, dad and my little brother but then dad died of cancer and bro killed himself so I don't really have many opportunities to do it since mum isn't really into it and my sister is an antigun bitch.

Why? you guys are the gun murder world capital
wait, how do you pay change?

I would not call >50 cpr "cheap",

.223/ 5.56 isn't 50 cpr. and it's cheaper than all other rifle ammo unless you count .22lr for some reason

wait, how do you pay change?

In single krona.
If something is 15:90 or 14:50 it's always rounded up/down to the nearest full number.
UNLESS you pay with card/digital like most people do, then it's not a problem.
People have complained about the pointless "50/90" thing in prices for a good 20 years now but they refuse to change it.

and really accurate.

depends on the .22. You can get good stuff but the cheap stuff will be inconsistent and as a result have worse accuracy

Sorry about the losses man.
Are shooting clubs popular in Finland? They are very common here since you get group prices on ammo and range days are cheaper as well if you are a member.

it's not a WWII mauser. it was built in a factory to be a hunting gun. the mauser action was literally

we hit peak performance

when it comes to bolt actions so everyone just makes copies of the actions for hunting guns and basically any other action is a modified mauser action to be cheaper to make.

muh enfield

since people generally aren't like speed shooting durr and if they are they get a straight pull, no one wants to deal with the weird enfield quirks like the head spacing stuff. plus a mauser is stronger and in theory way safer. a stronger action is a big deal because companies don't want to have to make multiple different action styles, they make one action style in like 2-4 different lengths

Yeah I had an old Romanian M69 as my first range rifle and the rifle was great. But I had no idea about what ammo to get so I just asked for the cheapest at the range..
I was getting jammed every 3-4 shots. Almost put me off shooting completely until someone gave me a box of nice stuff and it shot flawlessly all day.

Well it is over here.

Yes, they're popular. The law mandates regular shooting and a statement from a licensed firearms instructor for semi-auto licenses so they kind of have to be. The two indoor ranges I visit regularly are almost always fully booked. It's still a niche hobby, but with the Ukraine debacle and NATO memberhip it feels like reservist shooting is sharply rising in popularity.

Nice. Met some of my best friends via the clubs I have been in.
And it's also the same here, since the Ukraine thing started it's packed every time.
Weapon ownership has been rising drastically since as well.
Downside, ammunition has gone up in price over the last six-eight months. Not by much but enough to make the wallet cry a little.
