Now hold on a minute, TF is this list on about? Spend a weekend there and had a blast. People were friendly (comparatively speaking) and I even struck up a sort-of conversation with a local at a restaurant who spoke to me in what little German he remembered from school. Overall comfy inner city, too, despite the tourism.

If "most" were dicks to tourists then I'd have encountered at least one such instance. Instead they were either friendly or neutral at worst. My brother used to live in Prague for years and didn't have any issues in this regard either, making it even more unlikely to be true.

i hate them because i've encountered these animals a few times when being a tourist myself, i can't imagine having to deal with it year after year everyday

Isn't it obvious? The cities in the right column are overrun with fucking foreigners. Their people are fed up with migrants and tourists, and that leads to them being unfriendly towards all foreigners in an effort to drive them off. (It doesn't work, though.)

Probably it's a made up list, or it's based on comments made by afluent "expats", not real wor. Madrid is a unsufferable shithole, it had some sort of social activities in the center, but that was long gone.
BTW the weather in the other coastal Spanish cities on the list sucks in summer.

The left is fake honor culture friendly while the right is genuine dignity culture. The ones on the left will use flowery words upfront but will talk shit behind your back and watch you die in a car fire before lifting a finger to help you. They start out pleasant but turn to shit overtime. The ones on the right are cautious with strangers and despise pageantry and bullshit leading to them being brutally blunt and honest, but will help out if it's truly needed. They start out unpleasant but slowly open up to become the most loyal and compassionate people you'll ever have in your life. It's all very similar to the north/south dichotomy in the states.

As long as you're genuine, they're genuine.
The northern states here are considered rude, but the super polite south holds the lion's share of all violent crime. Race doesn't matter because you'll get stabbed in the latter whether in the ghetto or trailer park as both profusely apologize while doing it. Germany is also considered one of the rudest countries on earth yet is one of the most charitable. Any civilization that makes a big deal about politeness is a massive red flag. It's usually because said places are so shitty that they have to enforce said standards to make the population get along. It's also loud arrogance vs silence arrogance, people who possess a certain quality don't have to announce it to everyone else. Good people don't have to put on a show to prove their morality.
