Catholicism will overtake Protestantism in both
protestantism is literally just cheapshit watered down retarded version of catholicism specifically designed to suit newly emergent economic formation of capitalism. stop pretending it's real
Possibly. I'm not so sure. The Anglican Church doesn't have a whole lot to offer and it seems that the 500 year old experiment is coming to an end. It's rootless and is too susceptible to change. Anglo-Catholicism would be nice but that would never be allowed to become very big at all. So if retarded zoomers and alphas keep flocking to le heckin based traditional Catholicism then that's what is going to happen. I wonder how the state will change or react.
specifically designed to suit newly emergent economic formation of capitalism.
Calm down Max Weber

Catholocism is even worse, I'd rather us return to Germanic or even Celtic paganism
How are anglicans different from catholics, other than the fact that they are subject to the british monarch and do not have monks?
we don't do confession and have female vicars
They're all atheist
Martin Luther simply wanted to fix some bugs. And it took like 400 years for the papists to apply his fixes. Martin was never anything but a catholic.
Gustav Vasa used Martin's reforms as a plot device to exit the EU/IMF/Blackrock of the time. Money was primary, theology secondary.
Catholicism is proving the value of tradition, order, identity. Being a "catholic" is a real thing, a real community, with a global identity and even an overarching leader in the Pope. To smug protestants and evangelicals here in the US, it seems weird, dated, offputting. And yet it's their soulless, commercial religion that is dying a rapid death and even turning into some kind of strange celebration of wokery, while Catholicism trudges on. Speaking as someone who grew up in a fundie evangelical church family that never got the point of it at all. Catholicism seems to have a real point. It will survive this current dark age and perhaps realize its old strength again in a new phase.
If nothing else, Catholicism gives a more "moral" society. Its followers are incentivised to do good to get into Heaven. Protestantism, especially the more deterministic branches like Presbyterianism, do no such thing so its followers are often bad people. You see this with the Ulster-Scots. They'll chimp out and attack a single mother or something only to say
fuck it, I'm going to Hell anyway, I'm a bawd mawn
I've met a lot of shit people who happened to be catholics thoughever
do you guys actually believe this drivel
This is correct though, and is the main appeal for the growing numbers of zoomers.
Of course, it's dawned on me. Religion is bigger than a book or what's in it. It's an order, a community, and a culture. Something that many are desperately lacking now. Tradition exists to continue a thing across generations. If you don't have it, it doesn't continue, generationally.
I dislike all abrahamisms, but if I had to pick one then Catholicism is the best.
More and more
The truth is not determined democratically. This is a strange line of argument from people who believe in the infallible international imperial authority of the Bishop of Rome.
infallible international imperial authority of the Bishop of Rome

This sounds le based until you realize it's a complete subversion of the natural order. In protestantism (not dissenting free churches but actual historical protestantism) the people listen to the priest, who listens to the bishop, who listens to the archbishop, who listens to God as he speaks in Scripture. The national church is self-governing and properly ordered. In Catholicism a random foreigner asserts totally spiritual control of your people and even arrogates to himself the infallibility which is only God's by nature. It's poison. Just ask the Orthodox. They don't believe in justification sola fide (instead they believe in purification through navel gazing), but they still recognize what an abomination the Catholic system of church government is.
a random foreigner
*a fellow catholic and christian
The faith and worship of the people of Germany will now be determined by the Bishop of North Texas. Why are you complaining? He's your Christian brother. Also everything he says is true, no matter how repugnant it is to the plain sense of Scripture. Don't listen to God, listen to the infallible Cowboy-Vicar.
this is like saying the american government has to listen to every american 35 year old because they could theoretically become president
Some guy declares himself royal head of the United Nations and demands you submit to his immediate universal ruling authority. You have your own king, already. Who do you listen to? Who has rightful power?
Please ignore the retards posting from my flag whenever religion threads appear.

Catholicism seems to have a real point.
Which is what?
listen to the infallible Cowboy-Vica
thats also a bit undercomplex, and won't happen in that way.
It's not just UK flags. A lot of Europeans seem to know absolutely nothing about religion. Don't get me wrong, this is the case for a lot of city dwelling Americans, too, but it's shocking seeing it come from Europe. I mean, people there grow up surrounded by centuries and centuries of concrete Christian heritage and still somehow know nothing. They don't even feel any desire to know. They just figure all their ancestors were ignorant savages. How many modern Brits know who Richard Hooker and Lancelot Andrewes were? How about Latimer and Ridley? It's crazy to me.
All these new-catholics aren't really catholic, it's all a spectacle. A trend. Something to cling on, but it is shallow and devoid of actual deep belief inside. None of these people have an spiritual awakening, they are just attracted to the idea of being Catholic. It's a show, a threater, a simulation.
Catholicism in the US only grows from goblino immigration and they're only culturally catholic
We also have centuries of Germanic and Celtic paganism here but the Christians destroyed most of it, the fact is Abrahanic monotheism doesn't hold up well without oppressing other belief systems
It's good that Christians did away with pagan worship. That's not oppression, that's liberation. It's the responsibility of the governing authorities to lead their people into the truth, to care for both their physical and spiritual health. All of our leaders these days are either pretenders or cowards.
14 Welcome those who are weak in faith, but do not argue with them about their personal opinions.
We each should firmly make up our own minds. 6 Those who think highly of a certain day do so in honor of the Lord
22 Keep the faith you have for yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not have to condemn himself in what he considers good.
Romans 14
People there grow up surrounded by centuries and centuries of concrete Christian heritage and still somehow know nothing. They don't even feel any desire to know.
This sums it up pretty well. Knowledge of Christian heritage is almost non-existent, even among those who identify as Christian. It's very grim. There's a tremendous amount of Pop Christianity around too, and the general population doesn't have a clue about what they don't know, so they feel very empowered to talk about religion and proudly show their lack of understanding. The culture is very anti-intellectual on the whole and does not encourage learning more, it's easier to just repeat a funny "man in the sky" meme and tell yourself that religion is for lunatics.
it's hard for people to take Christianity seriously when most Christians themselves don't believe in God
Cry harder, son. Your people and culture are dying. I don't like most people who walk the Earth, but I especially hate bitchy religious folks. I'm not interested in fairy tales.
The sloth, ignorance and spiritual ennui of modern western nations is simply unsustainable. Something is going to have to give. How can ignorance and information both be proliferating so rapidly? How can both learning be easier and stupidity more popular than ever?
100% true. It's a pop trend.
