Last summer on a ship, our group (full Hungarian) crew Philippines, officers Indians.
The Philippines were ok, but the Indians, they drank water from the pitcher directly, or taking the waterfountain's tap in their mouth, eating with their hands etc.

Their workings puts the worst Hungarian government corruption into shame.
Indian CEOs sometimes even openly just fire entire departments to hire Indians or outsource the work to an Indian company (usually to their friend or family).
In Hungary that's frowned upon, there it's not just common, but encouraged.

As a member of the American diaspora it's pretty similar. There are companies in SoCal almost completely filled with hungarians (especially defense startups)

Russia and Ukraine sure but we are just Russia-Ukraine light, the situation on the governmental oligarch level is very similar but at least in Russia and Ukraine ordinary people have access to corruption too and can buy a drivers license for cheap or something, here the oligarchs have almost near monopoly on corruption, you cant just buy a drivers license and things like that you can do in those countries

Ever since that time, 8 of these private equity funds have a total of 3.58B EUR worth. And this is only a very tiny segment. 3.58B is a lot of money in this country. Keep in mind we are talking about a country where the third largest city, a city with a medical university have to lease 40+ year old old trolley buses from the capital city transport company because they cannot afford to replace the fleet. The third largest city cannot afford to buy 3-4 buses a year to replace the whole fleet in a moderate time. Basic infrastructure do not get funding in this country and they siphon away billions of Euro each year through various methods. That is why I say we are Africa tier in corruption. We are not talking about a few percentage going here and there

Look at those trains from the 8 min mark. Keep in mind this is one of the busiest corridors in the entire country in the capital city. In true comedic fashion you can see the MAV rail inspection train at the 13 minute mark. I do not know what they are measuring though, I guess the only question is whether this segment is safe to use at all even with these speeds

And the road system is the same here. In the North East of the country the bus frames regularly break because we are not talking about bad roads but literal giant holes and nothing is happening
And I could go on forever, theres billions missing in the basic water infrastructure in the country as the pipes are all over leaking

Meanwhile the central bank just "lost" like a billion Euro or something they cannot account for. Of course you cannot "lose" money, they just became supercars and penthouses and similar all over the world
