I used to shill this language as the only language worth learning, but just yesterday I realized: English is no more useful than any other language even despite it being the lingua franca. Basically, the only thing English allows you to do us to speak to a lot of different non-white people, but so does Spanish or French. There's no reason to use English to consume media, read books or something like that.
