What car you drive in your country and how much the car costed you and how much you pay per month ?

What car you drive in your country and how much the car costed you and how much you pay per month ?

France
Just go my licence, i will probably buy a toyota yaris ( like 8000 euro for 100 000 km)
Gas estimation: 150 per month, insurance : 80

hyundai i10
almost free (got it from relatives, i really want to buy those new chink EV but this shitbox just wont die)
gas: 4k php(80 usd) a month
insurance+registration: 3k php(50usd) a year

Pic related. I pay $7 a week for fuel.
Around ~$100 for tax and registration renewal like once every 4 or 5 years.
For license you just pay a corrupt traffic officer like $300 or more and he will get you a license

mfw family too poor to buy me a car once I got my license

mfw any plans of getting my own car keep getting delayed because my family depends on me for money

i've got 3 cars at home, none of them under my name and they're all +10 years old now

the oldest car, a Toyota Yaris, is about 16 years old now

Hybrid isnt better ? I will not bet on an EV

$300

Fuck,i payed like 4 200 euro for my license, they literaly stole my soul

Poland
Mazda 3 sedan
Costed me 31k euro in best setup
Like 2000 euro per year for insurance + petrol, I don't drive much

>mfw family too poor to buy me a car once I got my license

>mfw any plans of getting my own car keep getting delayed because my family depends on me for money

Same situation here bro, i helped my Sister for his license and her 2 cars but me nobody helped me, i had to pay everything myself

What attracted you in this model ? 30k its a lot, i believed eastern yuros prefer german brand

ford focus mk2
costed 3k eur
i don't drive too much, so gas is like 80 eur on average
insurance is a one time payment of 200 per year, so like 17eur a month
so if i don't need to fix anything it's cheap

hybrids i want are PHEEV which pretty fucking rare unicorn in this country

mazda costs around the same as toyota corolla or volkswagen golf but I think is a much better car overall
also I like the way it looks, it's a really nice compact car

sometimes, you really need rich parents to get ahead in life non?
i've been in both shoes, upper-middle and lower-middle class - its a good experience having both perspectives, makes you appreciate what you've had and hopeful for a better future

transit van
8000€
why would i pay per month instead of upfront?
insurrance and fuel i write as a business expence.

I was looking for Ford kek, the car is good ?

In first, why you want an EV, its expensive and you are limited, juste buy a used car idk

sometimes, you really need rich parents to get ahead in life non?

Yes, for real

i've been in both shoes, upper-middle and lower-middle class - its a good experience having both perspectives, makes you appreciate what you've had and hopeful for a better future

Me, only in lower middle class but at least It makes you want to surpass yourself

insurrance and fuel i write as a business expence.

Your van is owned by your society ?

wagmi, mon pote

i will probably buy a toyota yaris

I have a Yaris Hybrid and love it. I don't care about driving that much but this has been my favourite car to drive. Very comfy

suzuki swift sport, it cost me something like 17k.
i dont keep track how much i spend on insurance and gas, but its not much.

My friends say hauling stuff with it is going to be a pain in the ass but I don't even haul anything like some farmer so I'm not sure how big the storage space problem really is. What do you think

I have a 2l petrol, it's a pretty powerful car for what it is. The ride is decently comfortable, it handles wonderfully, fun to drive, just for a hatchback it guzzles an above average amount of gas. It is my first owned car though, so I don't have much reference, other than my ex's 2015 Yaris and some newer rental cars every once in a while. Also since it's almost 20 years old now, I did have to replace some parts here and there. I love it though. I always look forward to driving it.

Merci mon pote, je te souhaite le meilleur

Manual or automatic ?

Mhhhh, what do you like in this car ?

You buyed the car after you got your license or year after ? Here they charge your ass if the car is too powerful

Thanks for your response

do you not consider a local car like Peugeot or Citroen to support your own economy?

It's not massive but the storage is fine for what I need it for. I have a golden retriever dog who fits in there comfortable so there is room
Automatic. It's my first automatic car I've had having previously driven manual. When I hired a car on holiday that was automatic, I preferred how much easier it is and ended up getting one. I don't care about driving so just making it easier for me is a bonus.

This shitbox

magma_119.png - 586x258, 147.56K

i own it, and i use it for my business, meaning everyhing i pay on it is a business expence/tax write off, even if 80% of the driving is private.

I have a newish Mazda CX-5. I pay RM1500 per month. I also own several other older cars that are either paid up or bought 2nd hand. In Malaysia, families need at least 2 cars or the male get to ride a scooter instead.

de même!

rear wheel drive, manual transmission, ~150hp, 50/50 weight ratio, cheap, easy to work on, no electronic computer bs, 80's toyota reliability

only downside really is that parts are hard to find these days

The motor is shit

I think Renault Clio is one of the prettiest city cars these days, wouldn't mind owning one at some point, if only they were a little more powerful
Citroens and Peugeots are meh, but Renaults can get it

I see
one of the main reasons I got Mazda is that they use their 2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engines that are close to indestructible

Insurance 50$ a year?
You don't suffer, here is more like 500$.

a nice old Lexus which wasn't even all that much more expensive, it just likes to consume more than that in fuel

you can always rent a van

An old Land Rover.
Costs 10-11k Euros in its current state.
Gas is <8 Euros per 100km.
Insurance and taxes are ~$200/year.

Subaru I got it for 10.000€.
Insurance has been around 600€ per year. I used to spend like 100€ a month pre-pandemic, now since I WAH I spend like 20€ per month. I'll cling to it as long as I can, not that is the greatest car ever, but the automatic 3 cylinder hybrid shits, or EV washing machines the UE is trying to force are as appealing as having a bath in manure.

Thank this to Carlos Tavares, his major achievement is ruining PSA, FIAT, Opel/Vauxhall, and Chrysler at the same time.

i believed eastern yuros prefer german brand

wut
toyota outsells volkswagen (german brand with the most cars sold) 3:1 in poland

My friends say hauling stuff with it is going to be a pain in the ass

its a room temperature IQ take,
retards here overpay for oversized station wagons for the one time in the next 3 years they will haul ikea furniture home even though having it delivered or just renting a trailer for a single day would be inifinitely cheaper.

I drive a small car and I'm doing just fine. A decent roofrack alleviates so many pains of owning a small car and you can take it off when you don't need it

You're assuming they'll find it useful just for this occasions. If you carry sportsequipement regularly you'd have a different pov. I remember moving a sets of skis, or a MTB for long distances in a hatchback, and it was a pain in the ass.

I want to buy 15 y.o. this. What's your opinion in your country?

i don't think i've ever even seen one

Mercedes C250 and Toyota RAV4. Will probably replace the RAV4 with a Ford Ranger soon. I wanted to wait for the next Nissan Xterra or a US import of the next gen Pajero but those probably aren't happening for a long time. I paid like $15,000 for it. For the US market these were mostly imported from South Africa and Brazil and were like $28,000 new often. Gas is like $160 a month and insurance is $190.

c250-14 (3).jpg - 2750x1826, 2.48M

I actually own a Yaris, but it's seriously cramped and has a bunch of useless features, so I'm not really a fan of it. Once I save up some money, I'm planning to buy a better car.

It's also rare here. Especially with the left hand drive.

I see you never went for the GLK, if you're that guy

Might replace the Toyota with it still. I'm looking at the Ranger because they might bring the diesel version to the US soon. If it doesn't happen my next choice is Jap SUVs. Like the GLK much more but parts for it may get hard to come by due to tarrif stuff. If the Ranger diesel doesn't make it here and the Jap trucks get delayed more then the GLK is back on the menu. Converting the C250 to a Safari car is still a go. Found a place thaf will do custom suspension for it. Nissan was taling about importanting these from Mexico when they got their new CEO but the import tariff killed that totally.

90% of normalfags work sleep and watch tv

and in general your argument about sportsgear is odd
a bicycle carrier operates in the same way regardless of whether you have a large car or a small car
your skis go onto your roof so that's car size agnostic
i don't ski but my friend does and he has this neat ski tie down device that locks with a key so he doesn't have to fuck around with straps

Don't know why but Yarises are extremely popular here. Probably makes sense why the licence plate is also australian. Good car though

Oh forgot.
Cost me €850 before covid.
Zero monthly payments. Car is 30+ years old so insurance is €28 per month.

nah all shittalk aside, these massive wagons are probably the best possible car for fishing trips, camping trips and music festivals. No need to even have a tent.

Buy Electric Vehicle

Gay and retarded. Even Toyoda himself knows this and was proven right. Hybrids are the future. I personally think locomotive style diesel-electrics are a great long term option for us with our shale oil. Hydrogen is cleaner but less economic. Full EV makes sense in dense population zones with low load vehicles. Diesel electrics are such an underrated option. I'm disappointed we didn't get it in the US.

I personally think locomotive style diesel-electrics are a great long term option for us with our shale oil.

it doesnt work
peugeot had a diesel electric hybrid in their car and fuel savings were minimal when used normally
this system works well if your vehicle requirements involve starting a a car at 0600, driving it at constant speed for 12 hours and shutting it off in the evening.
not when you treat a car as a large mobility scooter to carry your lard ass everywhere.

63kw

cute! CUTE

im getting a 75kW motor in my car next time.

a man in my neighborhood, not that I know him, recently bought his second GLK, must like them

i have a toyota yaris and it sucks. very uncomfortable and can't drive about 60mph without it rattling.

They're pretty great. I got into them after my parents friend bought a GLK250. They were going to sell it to me after they got an F150 diesel but my friend got t-boned in it leaving work so the GLK was totally destroyed and they'remuch more expensive on the public market. They just wanted $15,000.

2018 Kia soul, I bought it new when it was a dealership courtesy car at 800 mi. I paid 18 grand for it. I used it when I was stationed in Alaska and drove around that state with it. It has 87,000 miles now.

youre a dumb retard monkey animal

any sort of power storage structure required to enable this sort of system weigh an incredible amount negating the benefits of such system and what youre doing is incurring 5 times the amount of energy losses which stack up the inefficiencies.
you incur energy losses when converting chemical energy in the combustion engie to mechanical
you incur energy losses converting mechanical engine of the crankshaft to electircal energy in the generator
you incur energy losses converting mechanical energy of he generator to chemical energy in the battery
you incur energy losses converting chemical energy while discharging the battery to the motor
you incur energy losses converting eletrical energy in the motor to create mechanical energy.

it only works in diesel-electric locos because extra weight of the locomotive increases it's tractive effort and it's a desired effect. Increasing the weight of the automobile on rubber tyres is the opposite of what you're trying to achieve
Diesel-electric locomotives are only used because third world nations don't have electrified tracks and they're only "more efficient" than straght diesel and steam locos.

Fully electric locomotives drawing power from the grid are preferred whenever possible because their use is more efficient.
Pic related, ET22 fully electric freight loco used since the 60s (most railways in Poland are fully electrified)

mitsubishi colt
4000 euro paid in cash

His point is that French cars are garbage in general which is not a controversial opinion

The French engineers copy no one and no one copies the French

french DW10 and DW12 diesels are in the top greatest small automobile diesels produced and they were far superior to fiat's jtd and VW's SDI/TDi engine in every regard.
Citroen's hydropneumatic suspension has no equals even though it was a technology developed in the 1950s

You are fucking clueless zoo monkey gorilla

Diesel electrics just don't make sense to you. The best selling EVs in my zip code are the Hummer EV and new Escalade. They both weigh 9,000 lbs+. Cut the battery down to 1/3rd weight, (-6,000 approx) snd then throw in a diesel plant at 1500lbs and a 500lb capacitor and you still come out ahead. You don't realize how fucking huge the US or our vehicles are. I have a W204 which is considered very small and a RAV4 which is considered compact. Hell even a Ford Ranger is considered a small truck here. I literally drive over 3 mountain ranges to get home from work each day.

Are you the Pole that brags about having a Fiat 500 factory?

i hate shitalians and their garbage cars

Once you put thing outside the body, it worsens the aerodynamics, and the fuel consumption increases by a lot. Many sedans and SW had a folddown armrest with a small aperture which let you secure partially your skis in the boot.

french DW10 and DW12 diesels are in the top greatest small automobile diesels produced

Compared to what domestic competition in Europe? Because I know you don't mean compared to Japan

japanese small diesels are fucking junk

i dont mean industrial ones like kubota
i meant toyota, mazda, subaru small displacement automotive diesels

Toyota diesels literally outlast military equipment

Diesel electric locomotives have better torque than straight diesel looks, plus you could keep running the diesel engine at it most efficient regime.

The Isuzu 4j series motors are considered by many to be the greatest small displacement diesels being built currently

The best selling EVs in my zip code are the Hummer EV and new Escalade. They both weigh 9,000 lbs+. Cut the battery down to 1/3rd weight, (-6,000 approx) snd then throw in a diesel plant at 1500lbs and a 500lb capacitor and you still come out ahead.

and you have lost 99% of the interest in such a vehicle because you have converted what was an exercise in excess which americans gobble up like crazy into run off the mill unreliable, oversized and underbuilt piece of shit american™ garbage proudly built by general® motors©, so great job buddy.

did your read the entire post or did your brownoid brain fry after the second sentence

I'm sorry we can't build advanced technology like Polonez bro

ah yes the i-have-no-argument-let-me-bring-up-historical-trivia retort

I accept your concession.

I accept your concession.

all modern diesels sucks desu
problems with dpf, egr and other shit

You dumb fucking polacknigger, conveting it to a gasoline/diesel instead of a pure electric would draw in millions of sales. Dodge literally just had to kill the electric version of the new Charger and scramble to reengineer it as am I6/V8 vehicle. People were literally petitioning to start allowing the import of Chinese Yangwayng models because they had an ICE generator instead of being full electric.

Eat a McDick you stupid fucking slavnigger

I prefer gas powered cars because I like it when my mechanic doesn't charge me $4,000 for a basic engine service

Audi A1, 1.6 TDI, 3 seats. A nice car, fuel consumption is DIVINE, soooo low. Some problems with the DPF but nothing too terrible. A very fun car, perfect to have sex in it as well.

That's a lame gasoline engine. The real gems are the AVDS diesels. Some of the most efficient simple and power dense large displacement engines ever built. The Israelis get 1500hp out of them with no reliability issues. The Germans are even offeing a 1800hp version. Really only MTU comes close with their Mercedes based V8 and V12 offerings. Apparently the French/Finnish Wartsila is pretty good as are the new Korean/Turkish engines.

They made my car.

I drive a 2016 Toyota Corolla, it was a gift from my dad

Try the 1.4 diesel and you will change your mind.

I did, and being honest I was thinking whether to take a minute of my time or not answering you.

I wasn't talking about the feasibility of using such powerplant in a family sized vehicle, at the end of your dissertation, apparently you need to emphasize how much better thought your country railway compared to the US. Guess what? What works best in your country doesn't mean it's should elsewhere. Apparently you are better skilled than the engineers working at EMD, or Vossloh (now Stadler) about the best way to build a diesel powered locomotive.

BTW, you should watch your wording, you are nothing but cheap labor for central European countries, just what we were in the 70-80s.

Reminds me of a Briton who built a car around a spitfire Merlin engine.

This, it's a little over 1000 in todays market and the Insurance is ...eh

You live in russia and don't use them? i drive to the gym in the morning and use them to warm my lower back before i start lifting, reducing my risk of injury.

i drive a Camry V6 3.0
bought it for 8k 3 years ago from an 95 year old.
only had 90k kilometers on it and perfect condition

i pay exactly 97€ per month for taxes, insurace and ADAC club. 97€ when it stands still and i dont drive.. car needs 11l per 100 kilometer which is like 20€

however i didnt need to repair ANYTHING in the last 3 years just 2 oil changes that´s it
