IMG_1184.jpg - 900x600, 60.89K

don't worry, Americans will save Ukrainian

how does bread turn into dick

Bitch nigga

Could you hold a conversation with a Ukrainian speaker? But with one who has no previous knowledge about polish language

what is a xui for a Ukrainian, is a xleb for a Russian)))
pretty much the same like a Berliner trying to have conversation with a Dutch. Degree of understanding depends on the topic, accent (western Ukrainian dialects are much more similar to Polish than eastern), and obviously IQ level of both speakers

Then they shouldn't worry as to the status of the russian language in my country either

What does it sound like to you? Dutch sounds to me like a drunk mix of german and english

The Ukrainian language will continue to be spoken by Ukrainians in Polska.

Manu Ukrainians think the same desu, notwithstanding the war.

Ironically ukrainian is the east slavic language with the smallest % drop in speakers

It's a joke, bread is хлiб
Polish is very similar lexically if you know the vowel change pattern and ignore all the 'psh' sounds youtube.com/watch?v=ZWh9ahwMg3Q

can't read

Ukrainian sounds like Russian if it’s spoken by a kid who made up a bunch of random words, also ALL ukrainians speak with the same exact faggy intonation, it makes you question whether the one who speaks it is retarded or something and can’t speak normally.
Poles don’t have this btw, so it’s an extremely region specific thing

I dated once a girl from lutzk and was suprised she can speak perfect russian despite being from the far west in ukraine. I used once the russian word „kanyeshna“(don’t have cyrilic) and she got angry and said i should use Ukrainian word. But when i was listening to her speaking with her friends they used this word all the time which was confusing to me since she claimed to speak Ukrainian at first. I know about surzhik but like i said i thought in the west they only speak ukrainian

it makes you question whether the one who speaks it is retarded or something

When you consider the fact that Ukraine is facing a massive iodine deficiency and average iq there is on the level of african countries, this makes sense.

average iq there is on the level of african countries, this makes sense

Thats albanians

Im in love with a Russian woman but she doesn't love me back

Well it's kind of a useless languge anyway.
I don't you as a German genuinely care either.

Poles don’t have this btw, so it’s an extremely region specific thing

We don't have this to you because we don't speak Russian natively and even if we know Russian, we learn it as a foreign language which means we try to mimic standard Russian accent, not speak with our own accent (because it doesn't exist)

this difference is actually quite interesting because let's say Russian-speaking Ukrainians in Poland, when speak Polish, will pronounce clear "g" without problems, but when switch to Russian, suddenly in the same words they use "kh", even though it's incorrect in standard Russian as well. But they are clearly capable of pronouncing normal "g" because they do that in Polish, but not in Russian. Strange but apparently that what makes a difference between speaking a language natively vs as a foreign language

What does it sound like to you?

standard Ukrainian (or western Ukrainian) is a very "hard" language, unlike Russian which is generally much softer. But despite being hard, it also sounds melodic, so generally I must say the sound of Ukrainian language is pleasant to us.

I might be not the best person to judge it since I speak Russian and obviously I understand Ukrainian pretty well, so when I see someone speaking Russian/Ukrainian I usually focus on what they say rather than how they sound.

I have no idea what exactly you even tried to mimic
Don't believe him, russians love to laugh at other slavic languages (like czech), especially if it's a word with proto-slavic root instead of a western loanword.

I mean, it is a rule of thumb that we consider languages that are very similar to ours but a bit different as funny. When they stop being funny, it kind of means that these languages aren't just perceived to be very close.
We think that Czech is funny too, though mostly because of how they pronounce words rather than the words themselves.

You can say that about Danish or any other European language

Did you hope I was gonna reply something hypocritical to that? I won't. Danish is a useless language. Would be better if we just spoke german or english.

Ukrainian is to Russian what Low German is to High German. If you don't care about Low German, then there's no reason to care about Ukrainian.

It's not a big deal if any language dies out, Ukranian, Russian, whatever. If there's some language that is nobody wants to speak, has a reason to, and it dies out, then who cares?

If you don't care about Low German,

I care.
Ik ook speek kant dizappeer

Ukrainian to Russian is what Dutch is to German would be a more accurate comparison

Grim

No it's more like Belarus is the Dutch of Russia
Ukraine is straight out Poland or some pretzel

Do europeans really think russians want to fight the war?

protip: we don't

vpn off

That's (broken) Dutch though
Dutch is just a standardized dialect of Low German (Niederdeutsch).

And I think Low German in Germany is a better comparison than Dutch because:
-Low Germans speak both their dialect and High German (Ukrainians speak both Ukrainian and Russian)
-Low German is disappearing / getting replaced by High German (Russian is replacing Ukrainian in Ukraine, and already replaced Belarussian in Belarus)

I don't think so. Belarusian still sounds more similar to Russian ear. I mean by the way the speak. And Ukrainian sounds funny.

Russian is replacing Ukrainian in Ukraine

Not anymore.

Dont worry theres will always ukro patriots teaching from canada how blyatiful ukraine is

sir yes sir

Russian is replacing Ukrainian in Ukraine

Literally the opposite, you ignoramus

Russian is replacing Ukrainian in Ukraine

See: polls.in.ua/identity

You are funding it, fighting in it
We don't think every Russian wants to fight
But clearly the vast majority of you do. You just want to stay home and be left alone otherwise which.

It's like you take all the wills of Russia and combine them, yeah the general Russian will is to fight a war.

All smart people leave

The number of ukrainian speakers increases

this

Woah it sounds the same way to us

it always makes me think that if Russian Empire hadn't collapsed now Polish language would be in the same situation like Ukrainian is now

stay strong, ukrbros

Pepe.jpg - 1106x1012, 69.91K

Name one negative aspect of it

would be in the same situation like Ukrainian is now

Experiencing a new cultural renaissance?

Кaкoй язык тaкoй и peнeccaнc

Pushkin loved Polish language btw

maybe, but that would be happening during a disastrous war then, and to save peace we'd probably have to give up our language, so hard choice

img_59542.jpg - 1024x768, 87.32K

even if, still Russians would call Polish "a funny dialect of Russian", laugh at our words and pronunciation and tell us that our language is only good for peasants
that's not nice

Nah, not really. Your language is much more further from ours than Russian.

than Russian.

Kek
I meant "than Ukrainian".

Your language is much more further from ours than Russian.

you only say that now
but in 19th century you even tried to force cyrillic script on us to make Polish look more like Russian exactly in order to eventually claim that it is merely a dialect of Russian

Tи cвoю "бaлaкaлкy" хoч би iнoдi мiг би нe вiдкpивaти, Caшкo? Кoжeн paз oднe й тeж caмe з нeї

russians are pathologically incapable of self-reflection, and so after four centuries of trying to rid of us, they still haven't learned a single thing

its just a dialect anyway

If Ancient Rus hadn't collapsed, Ukrainian and Belarusian language wouldn't be existing now. Both are byproducts of Polish colonization of Eastern Slavs.

laugh at our words and pronunciation

I do all this but at the same time I think that Polish is the most interesting and unique Slavic language

But German is just a dialect of Danish

Noone tried to eradicate you, on other hand without ukrainians there would be like 50% less of all Imperial and soviet achievements, victories, marvels.
Ukrainians were there with us, creating together everything we are being proud of.

BJV0r.jpg - 1600x900, 405.95K

if Novgorod hadn't been subjugated by mong- I mean Muscovy, you'd be a first world country by now

Nah, most likely it would have been crushed like Poland, but also by the powers from the east, not only from the west. So Russians wouldn't be existing without centralisation and unification like that. And Novgorod couldn't do it by themselves. The boyars of Novgorod have even planned to "sell" the city to you.

you created most our achievements and contributed so greatly to our empire...

...that's why now we need to destroy you and your nation because something

actually an independent Novgorod being basically a Slavic-speaking Finland would be an interesting place

The boyars of Novgorod have even planned to "sell" the city to you.

that's what I meant

210373114

Noone tried to eradicate you

Back then ukrainism was some miniscule subculture, like crust punk

Well they literally did, but stopped a century ago
Meanwhile pic related is reality where russians got educated by ukrainians

They can't think in any other way than angles. They can't comprehend not trying to deceive somebody, that's why they keep contradicting themselves.

You aren't a firstie THO.

so what? just because fashion changes over time it doesn't mean you can kill people for that
now speaking Ukrainian is fashionable even among educated people, why does it bother you? speaking English was also "minuscule subculture" in 18th century and now everyone does it

Yeah, you also dug out the black sea, we all know, it's written in your history books.

Meanwhile pic related is reality where russians got educated by ukrainians

Kek. Where did you get this fantasy book?

Nobody kills Ukrainians for speaking ukrainian.

I especially like the phase "malorussians brought the name Russia to Russia", lol. Really stories impossible to be silent about XDD

you're literally doing this right now

Observe, how russians itt make all those appalling statements, and then act shocked when they get treated the same way they do other people

Prove that those clerics identified as Ukrainians.

No, we don't. We kill their soldiers for worshipping Bandera, not speaking ukrainian.

just because fashion changes over time it doesn't mean you can kill people for that

Why would you think i am a pro-war?
In matters of history Ukrs just really need to stop acting like victims. They helped create Russia as it has been last few centuries. They were stakeholders, not victims.

Putler would be happy to sing peace deal if they ditched crimea and nato retaking delusions. He was feeding banderas dozens $ billions every year, he's not some imperial maniac

Seems like Ukrainian propaganda works good. If people really see us like this.

propaganda

No need for that, you all the work by yourself

Ukrainian sounds a bit softer. Am I totally off.

It's a more "melodic" language in general

No, we don't.

Nah, you definitely do. Or you mean to tell me people are allowed to speak Ukrainian in Russia?

We kill their soldiers for worshipping Bandera

Cool excuse, still a war crime. You also worship Stalin anyway

Seems like Ukrainian propaganda works good.

I was against Ukraine until I met Russians on Anon Babble and realized all of the "propaganda" was true.

Or you mean to tell me people are allowed to speak Ukrainian in Russia?

Yes. Ukrainian is one of the official lanisges of Crimea, for example.

Cool excuse, still a war crime. You also worship Stalin anyway

Stalin isn't a nazi war criminal unlike Bandera, only nazis can compare the two.

Stalin isn't a nazi war criminal unlike Bandera

Why not? He was their friend.

to be fair i've talked to enough russians to know that they have a chip on their shoulder about losing half of Europe and, for example, they don't believe me when I tell them I don't speak russian. It appears you people have had targeted propaganda for so long your view of others have made you act kinda shitty towards them.
you can be good people, but there's always something underneath that makes you look down on others or be paranoid about delusional shit. It's kinda creepy.

pseudo-liveral nazi rewriting history

Many such cases.

98 years of conditioning, they can't help it.

"A week after signing the pact, on 1 September 1939, Germany invaded Poland. On 17 September, one day after a Soviet–Japanese ceasefire came into effect after the Battles of Khalkhin Gol,[9] and one day after the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union approved the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact,[10] Stalin, stating concern for ethnic Ukrainians and Belarusians in Poland, ordered the Soviet invasion of Poland. After a short war ending in military defeat for Poland, Germany and the Soviet Union drew up a new border between them on formerly Polish territory in the supplementary protocol of the German–Soviet Boundary and Friendship Treaty. "

Common Russians can be quite stupid and don't know much about former states of USSR or other countries. But saying that we kill Ukrainians just for speaking their own language or we just satanic beasts who want to kill is pure retardation.
Also maybe they've confused you with Latvia (which is more Russian speaking), yeah, they can...

they don't believe me when I tell them I don't speak russian

Because the older generations of butthurtbelters know at least basic Russian, yet pretend they don't, just to spite Russians. Same with Ukrainians now.

But saying that we kill Ukrainians just for speaking their own language or we just satanic beasts who want to kill is pure retardation.

You country is literally famous for conducting ethnocides

Or you mean to tell me people are allowed to speak Ukrainian in Russia?

Nowadays and later on: no. Let's be honest, divide can't be reversed, on territories where there's russian flag flying, there will be no ukrainian language. Same on ukrainian side, except for the fact that most Ukrainians speak russian, so they're behaving like as if Irish declared war on English language.
I read ukrainian draft avoiders on X, I've seen so many screenshots of rabid ukr nationalists who used to post "If only I was in Saint-Petersburg now" 6 years ago.

Before war: yes.
Ukrainian song kazka - plakala literally topped charts. People started feeling negative about it after forced ukrainisation of russian speakers in Ukraine, before that literally noone cared. Finally, I don't understand what does it even mean "to speak Ukrainian in Russia", like even ukrainian speaking villages in the south are speaking surzhyk, not pure distilled bandera-approved Ukrainian.
If two gastarbeiters from Lviv met each other in Moscow and talked on street in Ukrainian, noone would care.

Thank you for a made up picture. You're no different from our "patriots", believing in what you want to believe and what your government feeds you.

This particular one looks sus, most likely ukr fake since there's not a single other photo taken from other angles, showing it plastered on street lamps or fences

Consider the following:

In 1934, Germany and Poland signed the German-Polish Non-Aggression Pact, which normalized relations between the two countries.

In 1933, Great Britain, France, Italy, and Nazi Germany signed the Four Power Pact, also known as the Quadripartite Agreement.

The Anglo-German Naval Agreement was signed in June 1935 between Nazi Germany and Great Britain. The agreement allowed Germany to build a larger navy than that allowed by the Treaty of Versailles.

In 1936, Germany and Japan signed the Anti-Comintern Pact, an agreement that committed them to fighting the Soviet Union.

The Munich Pact was an agreement signed in 1938 between Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom, which granted Czech territory to Germany.

In 1939, Germany and Romania signed the German-Romanian Treaty, an economic agreement that gave Germany control over the Romanian economy.

A non-aggression pact was signed between Germany and Denmark, but this did not prevent the German invasion of Denmark in 1940.

The German-Lithuania Pact was a non-aggression agreement signed in March 1939, following a German ultimatum to Lithuania.

The German-Estonia Non-Aggression Pact was signed in 1939. Its purpose was to prevent the Soviet Union from interfering in the Baltic states.

But it is fake... I am very careful with wording.

looks sus since there's not a single other photo taken from other angles, showing it plastered on street lamps or fences

Also: to reverse it from russian side will require complete 180 in Ukrainian ideology, so most likely impossible.
