@grok is this true?

i know nothing about malaysia

Well I had to look up what your flag is and I don't know anything about Malaysia so I asked a chat bot but it said way too much stuff to read so here is the last part at the end

Malaysia excels in cultural richness, natural beauty, and affordability, making it a strong contender for "best" in specific contexts, especially for foodies, nature lovers, or those seeking a vibrant, affordable lifestyle in Asia. However, challenges like inequality, environmental issues, and governance mean it doesn’t top global rankings in objective metrics like HDI or innovation. If your priorities align with Malaysia’s strengths, it could absolutely feel like the "best" for you. What specific aspects are you considering when you say "best"?

I hope that could answer your question, please have an enjoyable day and learn something new.

its true

t. grok

would you like me to tell you about my country?

see? Malaysia is the best!

They're the Canada to Indonesia's United States and the Philippine's Mexico.

Indonesia's United States

we're brazil at best, nigeria at worse

what about you guys?

I'd say that Vietnam fits Brazil more because they're the "odd one out" compared to the other Mainland SEA nations. We can have Thailand as Argentina and Laos/Cambodia as Paraguay and Uruguay. Myanmar could be a bizzare mix of Venezuela/Colombia/Ecuador/Peru and Bolivia but I don't know.

Tax Haven Caribbean Country or a bizzaro version of Atlantic Canada

yes

Not even the best country in Malaysia.

well, modern Malaysian history begins in the 14th century with the establishment of the Sultanate of Malacca - it was founded when a prince from a neighbouring kingdom decided to rest under a tree and saw his dog kicked by a mousedeer and the dog subsequently fell into the river
Amazed by the strength and cunning of the mousedeer, he asked the name of the tree (don't ask why) and he named this new Kingdom after it

Malacca became a thriving centre of trade, if you've ever played EU4, you'd realize why - it's situated at the crossroads of the East and West
100 years passed and in 1511, Malacca fell and was conquered by the Portuguese

They have the best looking women in sea by far
Shame they're all Muslim

After the Portuguese, came the Dutch, the British, the Japanese for a while, and then the British again - we finally gained independance in 1957
imagine that, from 1511 till 1957 we were under someone else's heel

From 1957 till 1963, we were known as Malaya with the territory encompassing the Malay Peninsula and Singapore but due to racial tensions, we decided to kick Singapore out in 1965

From 1965 to the present, our territory encompasses the Peninsula + parts of Borneo - the majority of our oil fields, the backbone of our economy, are located in Borneo so we're thankful for that
From this point on, we're known as Malaysia

:(

our unofficial motto is "separated by race, united by racism"

when I think of Malaysia, I can only think of this video for some reason

Hasn't Egypt been under occupiers for like 2400 years
Get over yourselves

Divine punishment

one of the best definitely, simply because it's wealthy enough to live good but poor enough to delve into degeneracy + it has eternal summer 365 days per year

That is not Finnish flag

what if we get the worst of china and mix with my muslim shit

herro?

he's playing the part of a "patient"
most of these dances used to be rituals where we'd summon the spirits to help cure sickness - considering we're muslims now, this ritual was relagated to a commercial dance

Just think of the Peninsular Malays ( who're basically the main definition of Malaysia ) as Muslim Thais.

Imo Malaysia's history only began from the period when they united the Sultans of the Peninsula into one administrative rule. Everything else before it would be the equivalent of wewuzzing and asspulls ( like that one crackpot theory that Malays are descended from pre-islamic Levantine Arabs )

What's Brunei

A "what-if" scenario where Alberta secceded from Canada.

They got free healthcare due to oil profits so I'll give them that.

i agree too, we're so stuck in this colonized mentality its unreal
even during Konfrontasi, we called British + ANZAC troops to fight our war lol

Victoria36f

she's so mid it hurts

What I'm talking about is that in my opinion, Malaysia's history only began after the British came in and unified the Peninsula into a single administrative government. Everything else before it is just pure wewuzzing by the Government of Malaysia to legitimize their rule.

From the way I see things, you may as well call Singapore the Grandfather of the Malaysian state because the first Sultan of Malacca established his Kingdom here before packing up and moving up North after the Majapahits or the Ayuthayas sieged the island.

Singapore the Grandfather of the Malaysian state because the first Sultan of Malacca established his Kingdom here

wanna try again ah, ah boy?

best women

That's how I see it. And it's the reason why I sometimes hate discussing SEA history here. It's always a mix of pseudo-nationalistic wewuzfaggotry 85% of the time being pushed by layniggers here whose only source would be their school textbook that's vetted by their nation's government to try and paint their government as having an unbroken line from some bumfuck kingdom that ceased to exist or a group of people decades ago while discounting everything else that happened.

its the clean version we sell to ourselves and angmos
don't worry friend, i'm a republican in my country - we'll make it work in the future

I'm just saying; it's trashy and gay that most of the time, Malaysia's history is only portrayed within the lenses of whatever the fuck was happening in the Peninsular Region while any mention of East Malaysia gets handwaved to "They have le oil and they are mostly Kristeng"

true, hopefully considering we have two (2) Deputy PM's now, one repping West and one repping East Malaysia, they can get more represantation

my dad lived there for a while since my grandad was a ranger during the commie scare, so i sorta have a lil connection there
