Do people honk iyc?

Do people honk iyc?
Here people honk a lot. It’s not india or SEA tier but It’s very fucking annoying,Thankfully I don’t live near a busy road I imagine it’s hell.
You should really only honk in an emergency

yes a lot

honestly I'd rather crash than honk

duality of man

tbf if I get into a near miss (other idiot fault) I honk hard

There is very little honking here, at least in my city

I don’t mind honking but there’s nothing I despise more than the kind of cunt who slows down when you come up behind to tailgate cause they’re driving like someone’s grandma. fuck I want to kill these faggots

I do not honk.

slows down when you come up behind to tailgate

That's called save driving. You should be thankful to them. It's mainly your safety.
I always drive extra slow if someone behind me doesn't take the proper distsance.

If I go on a long journey I honk every so often to make sure the drivers around me are alert and paying attention. About every twenty minutes or so, I vary the timing a little each time so the other motorists don't get desensitized to a pattern.

wtf

No its passive aggressive soy rage, at least have the decency to flip the finger at me if you wanna be a bitch

who slows down when you come up behind to tailgate

I do that.
Especially in my van. If possible I'll do it while overtaking a truck, so you can't pass on the right either.

My vehicle isn't paid off yet. I'm not getting my truck totaled just because someone got complacent.

rarely. if you haven't started moving and the light has been green for a good five seconds. well, there was once this BMW driver who honked at an elderly lady crossing a four-lane street, who hadn't made it all the way across during her green. but people are going to turn their heads to you if you use the horn

literally not at all

passive aggressive soy rage

Proper driving isn't rage. Rage is for lesser races only.

its passive aggressive soy rage

tailgating kind of is that. you're impotently raging behind the wheel and maybe passive-aggressively go for a risky overtake from a worse position than if you had visibility and room to accelerate in your own lane before switching over

Don't honk mostly

I drive speed of traffic, if the person in front fails to do that then they are in the wrong. they need to know they’re ruining it for everyone

i honk at the local fundie schizo van whenever i see it. sometimes the woman who drives it yells at me across the intersection. i pull out my phone and pretend like i'm talking with someone until the light changes. sometimes i tail her a bit to keep her on her toes. i think she must live in there because i never see the van parked in a driveway anywhere. haven't seen her recently i hope she's ok. thats pretty much the only reason i ever honk.

NOOOOO I'M LATE YOU NEED TO SPEED UP FOR ME REEEEEEEEEE

not my problem :)

Why are you bullying a beautiful patriot?

to be honest i dont know. i just started doing it one day. now its become a little tradition we share even if she doesn't seem like she appreciates our human connection that much. nice thing is my family has multiple vehicles and i like to drive them all so she usually doesnt suspect the honk is coming. id like to meet her in person some day to learn about what shes like.

I honked at a cop once who took too long to start driving once the stoplight turned green.

Honking is so rare that even when I get into a situation where a honk would be warranted I don't think of it until it's too late anyway

I honk maybe once, twice a year when someone does something extremely dumb and dangerous.
People don't honk often either.

truck

is that like a commercial cab or do you mean a pickup? I find that truck drivers like to use their loud horns

I never feel the urge to do it
One time I was driving down a local road and someone had stopped in the middle of the road and there was no way to get around them
I waited for 30 seconds and then gave a short sharp push on the horn and they moved on
Otherwise I just don't feel the need to do it
Growing up I had a subhuman father who was such a mindless emotion driven animal that he got into road rage all the time
He was practically a child with the tantrums he threw and would beep his horn all the time over the slightest of things
It was sad and he ended up in court twice over road rage

SEA tier

People rarely honk in Malaysia. If you hear someone lay on the horn, you must have really pissed them off.

Also, first time I visited a bigger city in Spain (Valencia) I was surprised how little honking there was even during rush hour. For some reason I assumed it would be like in other Mediterranean countries, like Italy or Greece where the honking is relentless, but Spanish traffic is surprisingly calm despite being busy.

I don't think I've honked in my life
It's an expression of impotent rage imo, nothing more pathetic than being stuck in traffic and honking thinking it will somehow make everyone go faster

Like some child thinking that screaming will get him his tendies out the oven faster

SEA tier

The fuck?

Last time I missed that the traffic lights switched to green no one honked. The guy behind me just flashed his high beam.
So no, here people honk only to prevent an accident.
But it also might depend on the place in the country. I've heard people in Moscow and in the South honk more often.

Same.

Nobody honk here unless it is necessary tho.

you come up behind to tailgate

Why are you a faggot?

Rarely, only if someone has fucked up

honestly I think the way to correct that would rather be bringing such a thing to public discussion. but nowhere is it more evident on a daily basis that society is far from perfect, or uniform, than in car traffic. even if a best practice (in this case what speed you're supposed to go) was commonly established, many would ignore it anyway. I just came from driving, and there was three roundabouts in a row where some troglodyte mouthbreather retard didn't indicate that they were exiting it, making me and others slow down or stop for no reason
