In america, annual salary of $250,000 is considered as middle class
mfw I earn 24k USD yearly
mfw I earn $200k at 24 and still can't afford a home
We still suffer
Amerigods wealthmog the shit out of every one of us and yet they're so humble and likeable. They should be conversing with celestial beings up in there and yet they are here for us plebeians
in america, annual salary of $250,000 is considered as middle class
even a decade of my wageslaving life here hasn't made me the savings of that value.
Can someone explain how Americans can make so much money? Here, you could try your absolute hardest and you still would not even get close to making even a quarter of 250k dollars a year (unless you are a criminal or corrupt politician) while it is so easy for the average American.
Fun fact: 90% of Britons in full-time employment earn less than £60,000 per year.
I earn 30k € per year working full time, americans cannot fathom the europoors struggles
Do you really think that isn't true here as well?
The top 10 % of american workers get a lot more than that.
Even the top 10 % in Germany get more than that.
I earn 25k here with a stem phd
Maybe for here it would be more like 75%, nevertheless only 3% earn $250,000
Before or after tax?
That additional 15 % are also a massive diffrence. The simple fact that american white collar professionals have a very comfortable life and are a lot richer than the ones in the rest of the developed world.
glad to be part of the 90%...
americans be like
$750,000 is not upper class, it's upper MIDDLE class
What does 52k brutto make after tax? Here the median after tax is 25k
Before tax, picrel is the montly salary before tax for researchers. Starting salaries are brutal with little evolution.
The median annual income for a full-time worker is 62k or £46k
ultra competitive work environment that probably gets your country boatloads of hair transplant business. people only expect to work for long enough to get cuddly with management and earn their next promotion. so companies don't mind dropping big bucks on their "rising stars" because they'll be interviewing again in two years and bringing that position back down to a new employee's salary.
All of those people are practically criminals already.
median
mean
average
seasonally adjusted
constant 2014 dollars
purchasing parity adjusted
real wage growth
full time
inflation adjusted
Dude all these stats are SO FAKE. The US government does not even know how many people live in the country. Same for all other countries all this data is just total bullshit but my favorit is when people do this
real wage (inflation adjusted) inflation growth since the 1970
like FUCK OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF with the 150 different adjustments of 15 ways of measuring inflation to get some bullshit data that does not make sense
Its all FAKE
also the US is so fucking vast and all these retards will argue about averages as if some dude making 500k in Silicon Valley and contributing to wage growth will help someone in a Southern backwater
Yet people go online and talk about hours on end about which of the 150 purchasing parity adjusted constant dollar inflation reduced real wage growth is the REAL one
Salary distribution in France in 2021, after tax. Fucking grim.
What does 52k brutto make after tax? Here the median after tax is 25k
If you are single, have no kids and are a member of the catholic or mainline protestant church, 37,9k €
If you are married, have two kids and are not a member of a church, 43,4 k €
Both examples assume no tax deduction
Before tax, picrel is the montly salary before tax for researchers. Starting salaries are brutal with little evolution.
My sister told me they were low compared to german researcher salaries but I didnt think they were that low.
You guys have good salaries
I didnt think they were that low
And yet somehow we aren't the worst. The best joke was Macron making a 1 G€ plan to attract US researchers last week, pure gold.
I spread misinformation!
It is 32.8 k € in the first case and
37.5 k € in the second case
I don't people realize yet how big America is. I don't know what's happening in most of my country.
That's still very decent, nearly 1.5 times ours and I would guess that our cost of living are similar
Yeah we've never heard that one
You guys have good salaries
Only by EU standards. Internationaly they are still low
There are also big regional inequalities. (a median of 2651 € a month in rural southern Saxony vs a median of 5200 € a month in Wolfsburg, Ingolstadt and Erlangen.
you're lying. Unless you want to live in SF or NY you can easily buy a house in the US with that salary. Fucking lying pampered scum
And in Switzerland, an annual income below CHF27,780 (US$33,433) for a single adult is legally defined as poverty and can potentially qualify you for some public assistance (usually just discounted health insurance, this isn’t a major cash welfare state).
Where you live, the poverty line is probably lower than that. But just like that random number supposedly associated with the US middle class, it’s not especially internationally relevant.
As it should.
From my point of view middle class should be the people that can virtually buy anything they want without bothering with the costs.
Except for truly luxurious brands of course
Internationaly they are still low
No that's a bias because most of our information comes from rich cunts. I've read that the median income worldwide is 3 k$ per annum. Our cunts are still in the top 20-30 in terms of income.
By the international I mean Switzerland and the US
Yeah well I wouldn't want to live my whole life in one of these countries, however rich they are.
Health insurance is somewhere around 4k, a small appartment can be found at 1k per month. When earning 28k that would leave 1k chf per month for the rest, it's not great but it's not too bad either.
America is a very nice country if you have a good job.
isn't every country like that?
Not Germany
thats the benift of being the worlds hegeomic empire/superpower.
now the retards are throwing it away because they got bored and elected an orange con man
why do you think so? you have free education, healthcare and plenty of welfare
why do you think so?
Because you get taxed to death
free education, healthcare and plenty of welfare
If you have good job, you just pay for that and get barely any of the benefits
If you have good job, you just pay for that and get barely any of the benefits
just wait until you get old
if you have a good job
A lot of them fast-talk their way in and basically sit on their ass after a certain point because they're in the trades. In reality, most Americans work at some shitty chain making $3 above minimum wage and putting everything they can on one of their 12 credit cards.
