They are living in one of the poorest region of Russia but they are living in huge nice detached houses, have wife and big families, nice looking streets. Their price is usually much more than for apartment. Also I think many people like me afraid to buy some house which was used (especially for a short time), because there is no very strict regulations on building the house and you can get a house which was built bad by some Tajiks and after family tried to live in there, they decided to sell it after noticing cracks in the walls or something like that. So if I want a house, I better build it by myself or by the company I trust in.
Also if you have a wooden house, the liquidity is truly shit. The best for selling is a house from bricks.

Greenland is literally nothing like that, it's different. In Canada people barely live in such conditions, they usually live in very south which is much better by climate. Alaska has better climate than Siberia actually, due to how ocean streams and winds work.
