its full of different environments, but the entire country was built up from nothing in the span of 200 years using the same organization and urban planning everywhere. american cities look, feel, and live remarkably similar outside of a few edge cases (cities that thrived before the mid-1800s). the cultural differences may have at one time been more pronounced but not so much anymore. ive met plenty of americans who have no discernable regional flavor and don't ever concern themselves about the cultural differences other people are more sensitive to

One winter I took a Greyhound bus to New York from LA and saw most of the country. I'll never forget , we stopped at a Nebraska rest stop which was a little convenience store in the middle of absolutely fucking nowhere. It had been snowing the night before and this was early in the morning. Everything was covered in snow and there was nothing around for miles upon miles. All you could see in any direction was vast white empty fields as far as the eye could see. It was goddamn beautiful
