Dalit revolution happening in India. NAMO BUDDHAYA
Dalit revolution happening in India. NAMO BUDDHAYA
Christian -> buddha is big improvement
Makes sense. Why would they follow a religion that teaches that they're worthless subhumans?
Not my problem but good for them
Same rice bag different masala
this, imagine following a caste-based religion while being the lowest caste
I’m going to start funding Dalit terrorism against the cruel Brahmin libtards.
Thats why Buddha was so successful originally. He knew all that was bullshit. The question is, why did Indians revert to such a moronic inhuman system?
Brahmin priesthood consolidated the power of the riding monarchies by lending support to them and creating fictitious heritages for them
8 years agp
Or rather the monarchs made fictitious heritages for themselves and the priesthood went along with it
If all it takes to turn the poorest of your countrymen to another religion is a sack of rice, what does it tell of your countrymen?
One of India's "founders" started it.
youd literally lick feces if a secretary from the US gov told you to do so
Horrific
The type of Buddhism that they practice is as Buddhism as Mormornism is Christianity.
They dont even have a direct sangha lineage
They venerate this Dalit rights activists called Ambedkar
This cult sect of Buddhism that Ambedkar created rejects basic Buddhist principles
What principles do they reject?
Rejects the first noble truth (life is suffering)
Rejects idea of karma and reincarnation
Reject the idea of nirvana or liberation
Anti monasticism
Good. Religion is a political tool, nothing more
Cringe Fedora
But I can't blame you for thinking that way since your country was successfully subverted by the CIA via the spreading of USA style Evangelical Zionism
It's so over for Bhramins
isn't this like antithetical to buddhism?
ambedkar is based stupid nip
Navayana
Buddhism
No actual Buddhist believes this
It's the ultimate uneditable truth
There's zero reason to believe reincarnation is real
Kind of funny that even Britain who had a pretty rigid class system with strong snobbery towards the "lower orders" thought Indian took it a bit far with dalits
The Brits literally implemented the CTA
Yet made numerous laws to stop the dalits being persecuted? And the indians didnt like it
if it holds that life is suffering, surely being reincarnated is a perpetuation of that suffering and the goal of life is to find peace or be enlightened. maybe an unseaoned buddhist finds reincarnation to be pleasant but I'm sure someone born into buddhism wouldn't look forward to it
It’s so over for Hinduism.
Theres always one Nigel in these threads who tries to defend British imperialism. LMAO
My point is that the whole premise of the religion is wrong
Buddhism still produced some interesting philosophy and ethics.
Just because imperialism got invovled doesn't mean imperialists caused it.
India was fucked long before Britain touched it.
This is as dumb as those retards who try to cope about Islam being almost inherently homophobic by say "western imperialism implemeneted anti-gay laws!"
Yeah? and so did the muzzies before they showed up.
You can say that about nearly every religion since very little is concretely known about the afterlife.
Its happening in india for millennia thing is we cant get rid of them they just keep growing .
More hindu dalit born in one day than number of dalit that convert to buddhism in year.
They also converted to islama nd christianity and yet india is always been 80 percent hindu for thousands of years
inshallah both hinduism and the brahmins will be crushed like so many rats
Ambedkar was the only person with balls to constantly shit on Hinduism.
As a former Buddhist here. No, most people look forward to being reincarnated into a better life rather than ending it because originally Buddhism was meant for few people who admire monkhood and monasticism, something that 's very detached from the secular world where most people live. Buddha was from an upper class, so he and his disciples that achieve Arhat did so because they didn't have to struggle with day-to-day work. They just beg for food in exchange for teaching.
Christianity is very different in that the Mendicant tradition was quickly swept away for the Bishopric, so it's closer to the secular world. Hence it took root both within religion and secular communities.
What are share of dalits in hindu population? Are you Kshatriya
based
i am also thinking of converting to other religion
i hate linduism and i hate lindus even more
they made school and college unbearable to me, and i still don't like them after all these years
religion and secular communities
There was no difference back then. All these religions get followers by promising them paradise in the next life.
Yes I don't trust religions that can't provide actual evidence of their own dogmas towards afterlife
they made school and college unbearable to me
Bullied?
yes, and even treated me like a subhuman
i won't go into detail
That's exactly how Islam spread to the continent btw
Shudras converted to Islam to spite their corrupt rulers and to escape castism
