Post new build architectural slop from your cunt

This is what all the new urban sprawl in our cities looks like. Houses packed like sardines, black roofing and no trees creating unbearable urban heat islands, all cheaply built chock-full of defects.

What does the new architectural slop look like in your country?

picture of houses

nooooo the west has fallen

why is Anon Babble like this? have you even seen pictures of what those historic neighborhoods you all love so much used to look like? they also had no trees and looked like copypasta developments. you only like them now because they have grown into their environments and eccentricities have been built up over time. the only part you have right is that the building materials are probably worse than they used to be

Current meta is brick of various shades, but I think this is common all over Europe and the US. Although I'd say it's better than the schizo trend from ten years ago, where they had all kinds of weird colors and patterns, and the windows were different shapes and randomly placed

This is modern architecture in Sweden now.

unsightly

not australia but my own city has history filled with developers clear cutting land, expanding a grid, mass producing homes, and then shocked pikachu face when extreme weather, erosion, and flooding BTFO entire neighborhoods.

I like these Michael Diamant videos where he just bullies new areas kek, I think this channel used to be about something else but now they just keep bringing this guy back to talk shit about new buildings

Would this be considered slop?

Imagine being the architect of this, thinking it is sooooo beautiful and then winning the city "ugliest building" contest every year since.
I hope he's proud.

The weird thing is they talk about energy efficiency and environmental impacts then they add those retarded balconies?
Imagine all the thermal loss through the added walls floors and roofs

I don't mind it desu

Is this Sweden or Finland? It looks like a new area in Helsinki

Britain does this worst

I don't like the trend of having raised lawns like this. And I would prefer more trees.

I think trees come with years. They flatten it now then there'll be trees in 15 years

Why did red houses go out of fashion?

Oh sorry, that's not a raised lawn. It's just a wall. Difficult to tell them apart sometimes. Anyway, they look like that but the lawn being level with the top edge of the wall.

I can't even post from my country, it makes me feel incredibly depressed just thinking about my potential future housing options

Detached homes here are all pre-builds now. Boring cubes.

Makes it look like a summer house.

Red houses only look good in isolation. If its a planned neighbourhood like this it will stick out like a sore thumb in a bad way

looks like corncobs

Standalone. I'm a historic homes guy and I hate these fucking things.

This photo was taken in purposefully bad angle (and lens) to exaggerate the garage

Here's a rowhouse. Note the complete lack of public gathering space like the standalone. Evidence of a culture that no longer values casual interaction

Buddy that's a real estate advertising photo for that house. The garages tend to stick out 6-10 feet so they legitimately look like that

This one's not so bad but it's 600 grand in a place where a nice house costs 200 grand

I will never understand the cuck garage door. Especially when they are at dofferent depths in the wall. Who the fuck likes that?

That's the winners of the ugliest buildings in the country. Picrel is some apartment blocks that i worked on. Fairly standard from my pov

Nope. That's all rock and gravel underneath the lawn. It's how they raise it. Makes for sturdier foundations and smaller risk of moisture damage to it. You're getting a safe investment but it's going to take work planting anything of size

I think a 3 stall garage door would look a little too wide so they wanna break up the space? I agree it looks like ass though, but I am a firm believer that garages should not be attached to houses.

Captcha "HAVRV" so maybe the captcha god is tryin to say something? Maybe they have an RV in there?

Wouldn't mind it, what do those units end up going for?

the only reason they were ever detached in the first place is because horses smell like shit. also nobody wants to park their car to walk outside to go back inside.

15 minutes outside of city center in a 100k pop town. 1100$ a month for a two roomer or there about. Zero shops around though. They just leveled some forrest and put these up. Closest neighbours is the warehouse district

Definitely not worth it! I thought apartments in Sweden were really cheap for some reason. Only reason I'd live in one is if there's major convenience around.

Not wrong but I like the look better, and I don't mind getting a little cold. Plus if the garage burns down it won't affect the house- very important especially in the lithium age

This is very standard middle class neighborhood

That looks dope. Mixed zoning should be obligatory in city blocks

Holy fuck, trees make everything better. I cant look at houses and its just an empty clear cut grass.

God these boxes are so ugly.

Houses like this are the most common around here. My 3 cousins each have a house like this. They cost around 25000$ or less.

Forgot a 0 in the price

These would look much better if each of them were painted in different pastel colors
