Why haven't you moved to France?
Why haven't you moved to France?
They'd bully me because I'm an uncultured swine.
I cant speak French and they don't speak English
too many shitalians there
they don't speak English
That just means it'll be easier to learn French.
1- im not black
2- i dont have bbc
Can't stand the French.
It's nice to make holidays there, but I wouldn't want to live there, too many French.
Because I'm Norwegian.
Fuck off we're more than full
The cheese. It’s just not as good as the Italians.
more than full
I like visiting Annecy, but it’s quite small and doesn’t have a lot of economic activity outside tourism.
And I enjoy France in many ways. But I can barely speak French, and I would probably have to sacrifice close to 40% of my salary in exchange for not-quite-as-good infrastructure and services. Food would be an improvement, though.
If I could keep my Swiss salary, I would be happy to live in France, Italy, Spain, or even Portugal for a while at least (Portugal is last on the list because I’m not crazy about the food and there’s growing foreigner/rich expat fatigue there).
But I’m simply better off where I am, and have the capacity to visit all of these places a few times per year.
Évian For me. Thats where all the rich gulfies hang out during summer. You should visit, it’s beautiful.
No french person can afford to live there unless he or she accepts to live like a rat in the brown slums. Every single beautiful french town is like so :
- 60% boomers that have it good by being landowners. If not, they still have a pension that is higher than the median salary
- 10% brown sludge that does nothing
- 20% young french people that provide and toil away for the aforementioned 70% with 60+% tax rates
- 10% rich foreigners that do not give a single shit about us
This country is over
France's economy is bad and French people are unfriendly. I would only do it if I could live in a medieval town in Limousin
how come brown sludge could live there at first
Because we're far from their perfection.
I’ve think I’ve heard nice things about Evian, but I don’t think I’ve ever been. I enjoy a lot of places in France. I only mentioned Annecy in particular because that’s where OP’s picture is from, and I was just there a little while ago.
We're french we just love niggers
I mean, doesn't it require a massive amount of money to live off there?
i want to live in america
It’s great if you’re into hiking but I can’t imagine it will offer anything to you that you haven’t seen before. It turns into a party town for gulfies in the summer, and it gets jammed packed with sports cars. I really enjoy it. It’s where all the liberal Saudi go to let loose without being bothered by anyone.
Not really, these people buy in their own ethnic shops that are 30-50% cheaper but absolutely garbage quality
are the 10% rich foreigners that do not give a single shit about us in question btw
Interesting socioeconomic dynamics. In South Korea, we are perfectly segregated by the land prices. Beautiful places tend not to have many rooms for poor people.
After I finish reading 100 novels in French, watch 100 films in French, watch 100 hours of French television and finish reading the Belin history of France series I will visit France on a holiday but I could never move there because I'm poor and likely wouldn't be able to find a job
Now the only actual answer
france is a collapsing ugly third world shithole
Noone in their right mind would move to this failed state. Litterally everyone is trying to escape
You don't have socialism like we do. Rich towns (every town in the country really) are legally obligated to take in poor people here, and poor people are mostly browns.
Can confirm my village was forced to take in 40% of its total population because of the social housing scheme
Yes, sadly except for a select few cities (Neuilly, Levallois, Saint-Ismier from the top of my head) that can pay the absurd fine for not building enough social housing you have to accept that you will live in the brown sludge sooner or later, on your own tax money, to add insult to injury as they say.
France is actually a very segregated country.
The French revolution failed (and that's a good thing in some ways), so everything is done so poor people stay poor and rich people stay rich
Poor people don't live in the same france as rich people by design. Poor people live in ugly grey shitboxes, constantly harrassed by HR karens to work in macjobs, have to live around imported niggers deliberately lowering their quality of life.
Everything is grey, poor and fearful by design.
Rich people go ski in the alps, get a tan in the Azur coast and surf in the atlantic coast.
This is true everywhere in western Europe. But in France, this :
Poor people live in ugly grey shitboxes, constantly harrassed by HR karens to work in macjobs, have to live around imported niggers deliberately lowering their quality of life.
is more than 50% of the working population and increasing, and this :
Rich people go ski in the alps, get a tan in the Azur coast and surf in the atlantic coast
is less than 5%
In Australia if you're working class or lower middle class there's practically zero chance that you're cultured at all
Even people in the upper middle class aren't likely to be cultured at all and don't give it any importance in their life
My father was working class but he had a lot of ambition to become cultured and so tried to watch classic films and read literature but that type of person is rare
Most people only care about sports and money
God I forgot to include my question, my bad
Is it a romanticised view to think that the average French person cares about culture? Does your school system instill in people a love of literature?
Do you have people who stop reading after High School and viscerally hate classic literature because they were forced to read it in school?
How often do you see black and white films on television?
Theres no culture left in france anyway
All our zoomers either larp as plebbitors or nafri thugs
France is the most taxed country in the world and is full of nafris
That's sad
I figured the French government and their love of their French heritage would serve as a bulwark against the vulgarisation of French culture
They hate french. First off its a dying language. Noone speaks it outside of this shithole and out zoomers speak more english/arabic than they do french. All our government is staffed by turbo leftists which despise this country is extreme anglophiles who all studied/lived in ny and all fuck off there when they are done looting this country (until you vote for them again 5 years later)
Like every western country we have succumbed to pop culture and its consequences. If you ask a random french person about what french culture is you'll get this answer. Even our president said it ! Il n'y a pas de culture française.
The strongest gesture toward culture the average french person had was probably giving a buck or two for the rebuilding of Notre-Dame or buying a "culture-themed" scratching card promoted by a TV presentator (Stéphane Bern).
As for litterature in school, I don't know about today's educational programs and I don't remember having to read whole "classical" books but only excerpts and select poems here and there, although we were encouraged to do so. We certainly have people that do not fondly remember their time in french class (the one where we have to read), but I wouldn't say they hate reading classics now. In most cases they just don't do it, if they read at all. Most readers just read pop slop like Guillaume Musso or the flavour of the month pushed by big editors.
Now, TV is way, way less popular than it used to be, but we occasionaly do have black and white movies ! The french cinema industry was huge back in those days, so we have quite a register to choose from.
Well what about the leftist French tradition?
Of Foucault and Robespierre? The Paris Commune? 1968?
I find that disheartening to learn, I figured no matter how irrelevant France became you guys would hold onto your heritage of literature, history and art to the last breath
Is there enough French pop culture that there could conceivably be a normie Frenchmen out there whose media consumption was of 90%+ French origin? Or is it mostly foreign stuff?
I like white ppl
i will not learn another language, so unless i can live in a place using only english then i'm not going there.
I'm not brown and not from a turdhole
