ive had 2 coffeechud phases, had 2 machines (one for grinds, one for caprules) a collection of coffee bags and capsules. even started listening to some coffee nerds

then i realized instant coffee tasted better, is faster to make and being a tryhard is cringe and pure placebo. now i drink nothing but instant and 'turkish' coffee and gave away my machines to relatives (one of them was a holiday gift from work anyway, they always give me shit i dont need and end up giving away)

one for capsul-

coffee capsules

mmm delicious microplastics

Your moccamaster is plasticy shit too. Looks like the hot coffee runs down the plastic coffe e holder. Enjoy your plasticizers.

Ah yes, I like to drink water that boiled in a plastic container

instant coffee tasted better

it really doesn't, but I guess it's passable if you're only drinking coffee for the caffeine

Proof?

i don't believe that at all. that's just an expensive status symbol

They are expensive, but it's the one you see more than other brands. As in, in 100 coffee machines 4 are Moccamaster, but all other types you only see 1-2x.

yeah it's not like 51% of people own one. also every single job I've worked had a moccamaster in the break room.

Damn you Finns are crazy. Here most are cheap ones, at work it's usually a bravilor bonamat if they use filter coffee. Same price, but it has 2 jugs and 2 places to keep the coffee warm.

getting good coffee out of these is a fucking chore, I really don't understand why some people love to use them

It’s therapeutic. Also I like my coffee not boiling hot

I have one simply because it makes a lot stronger coffee than drip machines, sometimes it's needed

i have been using that since i start drinking coffee, is pic related worth it?

It's easy because all you have to do is put it on the fire.

I want that! But it's expensive ('、3_ヽ)_

Yeah

I think a majority of the idiots in this country use various fucking Nespresso/etc. single-cup pod machines. I can’t stand them. Quick, easy, convenient, sure, but they seem wasteful, they’re not cost-effective if you drink as much coffee as I prefer to guzzle, and the coffee they produce is nothing special.

Coffee snobs/nerds use various hilariously expensive espresso machines; I think they’re mostly Italian but I don’t recall the manufacturers’ names.

At the moment I use no machine at all, just a Moka pot or one of a couple of different little stovetop espresso makers I have picked up in Italy, occasionally a pourover with a plastic cone thing I got at the supermarket if I want a larger, thinner cup.

I haven’t had a drip coffee maker in years. My kitchen lacks counter space.

Dutch invention and still hand made in Nederland

why do foreigners not make the coffee normally
