rough context is enough to make most of it
some knowledge on how ukrainian words are invented
basic knowledge of ukro phonetics
you'll understand 99% of ukrainian with this besides some really new made up words, 160 years ago it was even easier cause it was just Russian with some misplaced letters and 3-5 different words for super common things
