I'm thinking about becoming a nurse

How are nurses treated/viewed in your country?

but that's almost 50000 a year just in interest payments, how does it work?

Did you start school yet? Just finished mine.

You clearly aren't American.

No, I have a degree in Microbiolgy from around 4 years ago though. Did you go to school for nursing, if so, how did you like it?

americans can't suffer

female nurses are crazy
male nurses get to enjoy female nurses
t. dated a female nurse who turned psycho

I also have a general bio degree. Was gonna go for a masters but job prospects seemed bleak which is why I switched to nursing. I didn't like it at all, they tried so hard to shove far left woke ideology down our throats the entire time. Other than that, in terms of difficulty, it was a bit harder than bio and in my school you needed a minimum of 80% to pass any class and they also didn't allow extra credit. It is really time consuming tho, they have you doing lots of useless shit to make it seem like they are teaching you shit. If they just cut out all the bullshit from the program, I bet you can graduate nurses in 5 semesters.

Low pay, secure job, bad working times. In Finrar you are better of in paper mill, dock, or oil refinery firewatch, which don’t requore college

I am a nurse. Was a teacher but hated the catty admin and constantly doing paperwork and planning outside of work hours and got my ADN. I make a lot more now and my work life balance is healthier. I can be more choosy with my work hours too. For example I like working nights actually.

Then you are young enough to become an MD.
I'd recommend becoming one with very expensive equipment and lots of safety soy, I think dentist is the best choice, shorter education.
That will make you a licensed entrepreneur using AI robots for patient treatment, a sharp contrast to the unemployed & podded masses.

why do normies treat reddit like facebook now?

Did you go for a 2 year or a 4 year degree?

I like what nurses do, but I hate the nursing union

I love this American concept of "first house".

How is it in Brazil ?

No opinion on that really

they get 30 year mortgages and then the interest is tax deductible
if it's a state with high income taxes and low property/sales it can be an ok decision

genuinely massive house for £500k
that gets you piss all here

they tried so hard to shove far left woke ideology

Did they really taught you marxist theory in nursing courses?

4 year bsn. already had a degree with most ger met so i only had to do 2.5 years

Giga sluts

Same.
Unless you pick a house in the middle of the jungle

People are lucky if they get to buy ONE house and you guys buy several.

I can afford a home but I have no significant other. I wish I had a nurse gf so we can be a power couple.

There was a girl on Reddit that was a nurse. She made very nice videos.
She got pregnant, kept posting for a while and then vanished. Sometimes I still tap to her videos.

mainly lgbtq ideology. also trying to change word usage. like i had one professor who just absolutely refused to use the word "female" during our obgyn units and kept using the term "birthing person". they're also trying to phase out the word "patient" and trying to replace it with "client".

Me too, unironicaly.
Life seems very meaningless to me right now, even though I'm richer than most people at my age

that much for a house that will topple under gale-force winds

Is that really considered normal over there?

The average American owns less than 1 house. People buy a first house than sell it and buy another one either because they moved to another place or to upgrade especially after getting kids.

But that's not far left ideology. Not even any ideology at all.

they're also trying to phase out the word "patient" and trying to replace it with "client".

Cyberpunk shit

That connected living room-kitchen

Those cheap ceiling lights

That specific off-white paint on the walls and fireplace

This is an apartment

do you mean the one who would do lesbian stuff with another lady in nurse scrubs?
glasses and dark hair?

No.
I mean BlackedMilf. That's her username

the ultimate redpill is when you realize how right this nigga was
I do not want to """own""" a home
I do not want to responsible for everything that it involves
I do not want to """own""" a car, a lawn mower, a BBQ and have to deal with repairing that shit
and so on and so on

I can put up with anything except strangers' genitals or the stuff that comes out of them. Not fazed in the slightest by blood or vomit.

I was in Texas. Then COVID. I truly learned how stupid Magapedes were and I had enough. Alot of us left after that. I haven't checked since then but there was a severe shortage after we all left either the industry or that shit hole.

You gained 1 thousand dollars a day?

What do you do now?

would never in a million years accept that rate. if a tippi is good enough for sitting bull its good enough for me

I dont think Ill last as a nurse. The thought of my mistake killing the patient will probaby stop me from doing any procedure
Are you still going to practise nursing?

Makes sense.

Working in hospitals is fucking awful but the pay is great, especially with night and weekend differentials. They're desperate for nurses too. Probably because hospital administrators + the American health care system + patients themselves have all created a fucking abysmal work environment. You spend 12+ hours fighting demented people and drug addicts while trying to juggle 5 or 6 acutely ill dumpster fire patients. It's very trying in terms of multi tasking, as you'll need to keep track of a hundred different tasks associated with the care of often rapidly evolving health issues and constant discharges and admissions. You're elbow deep in shit for half the shift, being harassed by boomers and their families demanding you keep grandma alive despite the trach and two chest tubes and foley dangling out of her.

And every single mistake is your fault. 100%. Demented old fuck decides to jump out if bed and break his hip? Your fault, should've reacted to the bed alarm faster (sorry no staff for a 1:1 sitter, and you can't tie him up or sedate him he has to run free like a feral dog). Gave a drug late? Your fault, should've managed your time better (you have 6 patients and all medications are scheduled at the exact same time). Psych patient stabs a tech in the eye with a pen? Oh well. Patient snuggles fent in and OD's and dies in the bathroom? Guess we should search all belongings daily and make nurses responsible for that (so its your fault next time).

And the entire system is fucked from top to bottom due to an aging population and staffing shortages, so errors are more and more common. The burn out is real real and has spread to a social level after the BS we went through during the coof. 0 PPE, 0 admin support, the CDC telling me to wrap a towel around my face instead of an n95, and shift after shift of stuffing boomers into body bags was somewhat stressful.

Ive cum to this realization dealing with never ending repairs to car and home. If i were mega rich i wouldnt own shit. Even middle class I still think having a pile of cash is better than a home and other assets.

Yeah but sometimes I would loose 4k a day. I have alot of high risk stocks. That's why I also have alot of cash that's not invested. I want to make sure Trump isn't going to add more crazy tarrifs before buying some stocks.

No. The system is broken to the point where you don't always know when you are getting paid, it's nasty, it's dangerous and not worth the money. The insurance companies keep losing patients because of old age and no one can afford decent care so they keep squeezing the patients they do get more and more until they hit bankruptcy then the government covers. Trump broke it in 2017-2018. Biden kind of patched it up I was thinking if going back then trump came back and now it's chaos. I can do other things with my degree and make more.

Americans shit on our commieblocks when they literally pay 1 million dollars for a hacked together cardboard "house"

That's very accurate. It wasn't always that bad. They cut all regulations and oversight and started turning on the money hose from the government. It turned into unregulated profit driven. It's partially the doctors who just don't give a shit besides maxing out patients seen and profits. The big leeches on the system are in Washington dc and NYC.

Cool. I wish I knew how to invest in stocks in my country

I agree with you

They make great money. Travel nurses are well into the 6 figures

commies have no idea what a mortgage is

Meanwhile half the country is screeching about how medicine is gay and fake news, the vaccines make them autistic, and methylene blue and horse dewormer are panaceas. A never ending torrent of politicians and room temperature IQ retards telling me how to do my fucking job. And when push comes to shove they don't even have the good grace to die at home, they come running to my ED or ICU begging for treatment. And don't get me started about boomers demanding futile care. I just stopped caring after a few years and accepted the life of a cog in a giant factory for sick people, gently massacring the elderly to make their retard families feel better.

The job is VERY flexible however. Once you do a few years in hospitals you're free to work in all sorts of completely random, easier jobs. Most are still stressful--a collapsing healthcare system will do that. Worsening maternal mortality, rising rates of violence against healthcare staff, longer ED wait times, more patients and fewer nurses, rural care shutting down due to Medicaid cuts, lower life expectancy, outbreaks of vaccine preventable illnesses (they still seek fucking medical care though).

And literally none of it matters to me a single bit because I gave up and work in a med spa thing giving rich hung over people IV fluids. Tons of random jobs out there. You can even sell your soul to Satan and work for an insurance company at home coming up with ways to deny people money to pay for their care.

interacting with nurses after my surgery cured my gayness
I still member pressing the little button and having the cute nurse with the slavic accent bring me water
I would do it 2-3 times an hour

That's not the typical first house.

Americans have to pay enormous taxes for owning property. Yeah, even if you "own" a home there, you pay half the price of rent anyway. Lmao.
Sucks being a firstie. Here nurses can tie up and beat up boomers and retards if they're annoying. I punched a retard who didn't want to eat during the last semester's internship and my mom murdered a granny accidentally like 20 years ago.

Commies don't need to know what a mortgage is

wtf I wish I was a commie now

5.875%

Americans really are golems

800k

this is unironically probably just 5 years of wages for them
americans have it so easy

pristine boots

why even bother, work boots aren't fashionable

There are special benefits for first time homebuyers which is why people will mention it.
