why do Russians always worship Belarus as a "better Russia" but they never move to Belarus, while Belarussians kind of despise Russia yet they also move to Russia in thousands?

Belarussians kind of despise Russia

Only pro-western zmagar pigs, a 2% minority of the population.

nah, even regular Belarussians look down on Russia. I'm not saying it's hate, they just think they're "like Russians, but better". They obviously won't say it in your face but they think like that.

yet they also move to Russia in thousands?

They don't

Moscow is full of them, obviously they're not always easy to spot (because they look and act like Russians) but pretty much every ambitious Belarussian who for this or that reason cannot move to the west, ends up in Moscow/Spb since Minsk doesn't offer any serious career opportunities if you're above average IQ and don't want to end up as a head of department of the ministry of state agriculture delegated to the matter of feeding chickens or something like that with a salary like $600/month.

This

Ruzzians admire Belarus as the pinnacle of civilization because it's the only White European country that lets them in

Moscow is full of them

No, it's not. Most Belarusians go to Poland or Czechia

It's not true, definitely not "most". Only those who are ready to forget their whole previous life and come to terms with the fact that they will never return to Belarus decide to go to Poland because obviously every Belarussian immigrant in Poland automatically becomes a criminal for the Belarussian government. There aren't that many people who are ready for such a drastic step in their life, so a large part of them will choose Russia instead.

that lets them in

...but they never go there lol. The number of Russians moving to Belarus is negligible, which is weird, given how much Russians worship Belarus.

It's the only European country where white people are still 95% of the population.

every Belarussian immigrant in Poland automatically becomes a criminal for the Belarussian government

No, it's not. Most Poles love Belarusians and distinguish them from the government because they know what position they are in. I talked to Belarusians in Poland and they like everything

Also, go back HIVan. You are not Polski

where white people are still 95% of the population.

not true, Poland is also 95% white (98% if you count ukrainians as white)

you didn't understand me
my point isn't about how Poles treat Belarussians in Poland but that if Belarussian govt knows that a Belarussian citizen lives in Poland, then he's considered a criminal in Belarus and he will not be able to return to Belarus (or he will face punishment if he does). Also his family left in Belarus can have problems too.

I met 2 young Belarussian guys here who left Belarus because they didn't want to serve in the army and they can't return to Belarus now because they can end up in prison, also they say their parents who are in Belarus had to lie that their sons left Belarus without their permission, that they don't know where they are and if they are in the west then they don't want to have anything in common with them. They can only send messages to each other through encrypted networks because if the government found out that their parents keep in touch with them, they'd go to prison too.

like the pixel art on that flag.
so how do belarussians live? are there any city of note besides minsk, i looked into a walk there and it look okish as far as east europe goes, do they understand russian?

you're retarded
there are buses going from Poland to Belarus multiple times per day and they're full of bulbas

huh? how is that contradictory? if Russians see Belarus as a "better Russia" then obviously they all should want to move there because everyone wants to live in a better version of his country

probably there are people who have some connections in the government or they're not permanent immigrants but only temporary workers who bring money back to Belarus so Luka accepts it
Grodno is considered the "cultural capital" of Belarus but don't expect much, it's still rather a bland town, Belarus was historically never an important land and not much happened there, it was mostly swamps and forests. And pretty much everything that was there was destroyed in WW2. There is a rebuilt castle in Mir and a palace under reconstruction in Nesvizh, that's all that is worth to see.

But they don't move, right? I wonder what could be the reason, since Belarus is easily the easiest country for a Russian to move to. Zero obstacles.

But they don't move, right?

yes, that's what I don't understand
my guess is that Belarus is not as good as they say

Or they say it ironically

Well, it's always about whether you prefer to live in a clean and safe, but a poor and totalitarian country but in a dirtier and more chaotic state but with a little bit more freedom and wealth

you know, there are also Russians who moved to Ukraine (before the war) because they preferred to live in a free, democratic country, even if it comes at a price of a shitty economy

thanks, i'll never set a foot in europe but its cool to know about it, be more educated about all their countries

my future wife Dayana is from there ;___;

actually when it comes to eastern Europe, Ukraine is unironically one of the most interesting countries, the number of castles, palaces, beautiful towns there is astounding, just most of them are in ruins and neglect because Ukraine is a poor and corrupt hellhole. But if they had more money and cared about their historical heritage more, it could be a superpopular tourist destination.

Belarus is better but
1. Life and conditions in Belarus are generally similar to those in Russia
2. Russians as a nation do not like to change their place of residence, even between regions this happens rarely
Belarusians are same

Belarus can potentially surpass Russia with the help of the EU, but in that case the new pro-European elites would likely ban everything Russian, so Russians would have even less reasons to migrate to Belarus.

1. Life and conditions in Belarus are generally similar to those in Russia

so how is Belarus better then?

would likely ban everything Russian, so Russians would have even less reasons to migrate to Belarus.

Belarussian language is easily understandable for Russians so that shouldn't be a big change

and for other things - isn't Belarus better than Russia exactly because it has less "Russian" things like chaotic belligerent nationalist government or Caucasian crime?

It's better but not as big a gap as Eastern-Western Europe. Plus Belarus doesn't advertise itself for moving

Belarussian language is easily understandable for Russians so that shouldn't be a big change

no. It's easily understandable for Ukrainians. finno-ugric tribesmen that call themselves russians understand only small part of Belarussian or Ukrainian

As a belarussian who has moved to russia - the answer is money.
I went from making 1.5k bucks a month in Minsk to making 3.5k bucks a month is Petersburgs (3 years of expirience).
While I have to endure seeing brown and yellow people sometimes - this is obviously worth it.

Also, all the new tech toys arrive to Belarus with a delay of a few months.
Belarus in general feels kinda "rural" in retrospective.

i looked into it, looks really nice and better than minsk mate, it kinda of reminds me of these small colonial towns we have here, the people are really good looking too, that street at 02:11 reminds me of a similar one in Vilnius, another cool city.
what does ukraine have to see?

yeah, understandable to me
I think Belarussians don't even see moving to Russia as moving to a different country, more like to a different province of the same country

come on, like it or not, Belarussian and Russian are mutually understandable, obviously it also depends on which synonyms you use because Belarussians or Ukrainian have 2 "layers" of vocabulary, one is more Russian-like, the other is more Polish-like and depending on what you want to prove, you can form a sentence in Belarussian/Ukrainian that will sound almost the same like in Russian or the same like in Polish.

that street at 02:11 reminds me of a similar one in Vilnius, another cool city.

in a sense they're obviously similar as both cities were historically part of Grand Duchy of Lithuania and share the same architectural style named Vilnius baroque

but ofc Vilnius' old town is much bigger and greater than that of Grodno.

what does ukraine have to see?

There is really so much so I don't know what to start from. As a Pole I have obvious reverence for Lviv but Kyiv or Odessa are also interesting. And then there are dozens of small towns like let's say Zholkva or Kamyanets-Podilski or Ivano-Frankivsk....and then you have these magnificent palaces/castles all over Ukraine like the one in Kamyanets but the greatest one imo is Pidhirtsi castle - sadly in a very sorry state but if they renovated it that would be VGH

Belarussian language is easily understandable for Russians so that shouldn't be a big chang

The problem would be the political environment, not the language.

free, democratic country

ukraine

well, if you wanted to be a vatnik then surely
but liberal adequate Russians would be probably accepted, same like they still are in Europe

Any Russian who doesn't self-loathe is a vatnik to you.

Yes. Basically, to enter the EU territiry now, a Russian and not only Russian needs to suck 10 Ukrainiah cocks.

just don't praise Putin and don't tell the locals that their country would be better if Russia annexed it and you will be fine

That and 98 more rules designed for "good Russians".
