I'm a Zoomer born in 2003, and in a few months, I'll be graduating with a Bachelor's degree and start full time employment as a Software Engineer. How's that make you feel uncs?
I'm a Zoomer born in 2003, and in a few months...
I'll be graduating with a Bachelor's degree
perhaps
and start full time employment as a Software Engineer
No, you'll be unemployed.
Fucking kek you chose the wrong period for that proffesion
Good luck finding work
I wish I had graduated
you just gotta hunker down and wait for tech lizards to start spending money again.
I signed the contract last week albeit
You already have a job lined up?
Software Engineer
good luck not getting replaced by AI or a J
total codemonkey death
I'm 10 years older than you with a masters and I work like 3 hours a day, the rest of the time i just drink coffee, poo or go on walks
start full time employment as a Software Engineer
Do you have a job lined up?
IN GERMANY we have something called a corporate/dual study program where you're sponsored by a company to study, work there half the time, and at the end they (usually) offer you a job to get hired day 1 after graduation
Just by the nature of development, Software Engineers will actually be among the last white color jobs to be replaced, because the automation of Software Engineering is singularity. Productivity increases in software development (and fields such as construction) don't necessarily mean less demand for labor, since there's no fixed amount of software that we as a society demand.
Accounting, marketing, legal, anything related to writing- these fields will be the first automated.
I'm a 25 year old virgin and I earn 500€ per months, but that's society's problem.
Same , burn out drop out life here
bragging on Anon Babble
essentially, Jevons Paradox applies to the Software Development field. Also applies to construction, and really any field that is creating new things.
Until full automation is reached, productivity increases in these fields will not lead to a decrease in demand for labor.
I just wanted to make millenials feel old, the thread derailed
2003
You're an unc
I'm glad I didn't dedicate 4 years of my life to learning such a noodle armed profession.
It's over...
indifferent. I wish you all the best
I got a meme degree in 2018 and I've never used it
Unc here. Alhamdulillah. You must make your parents proud but...when are you getting married, nephew? The Prophet said, those who do not marry are NOT one of us.
Inshallah I will marry an english rose in a year or two and put babies in her
Ever have an IQ test?
don’t waste your youth
got a meme degree and have been forced to do low level toil for a while now. I want to go back to uni for engineering but fear that by the time I graduate I'll be pushing 30, and that's alot of time wasted on education and not earning. don't know what to do, wish I did something useful first time around.
memegeneering
don't
I went to maybe half a dozen parties, that's a youth well spent, right?
I make 60k as a teacher. I spend my summer in Latinx America just relaxing. Not a lot of money but I comfymaxx.
2003
you're already old stock
it feels good to have fresh hires
though these boomers need to stop swearing thier heads off i can tell the zoomers feel uncomfortable they are a gentle species
I'm in the exact same position. I feel trapped in low level shitty jobs, so it seems like going back to college is the only option
but college is expensive and takes so much more time
nothing because you are brown
Graduating next year
I want to work in RTL design or embedded systems
Why are the systems embedded
i'm a 1990 boomer and currently flirting with a 2006 zoomer.
let me guess full stack webcuck dev? have fun wit dat homie
luckily it's not too pricey here and you don't have to pay it back if you don't earn enough, but still don't know. honestly wish I didn't go first time, I should've spent a few years working and just getting a feel for jobs, the Straight-to-uni pipeline is so wasteful, most people I knew at uni just chose random ass subjects so they could hangout
Hey
Yeah I'm thinking based
hello egyptbot
Helloz
Millenialbros.. there's still hope...
Don't give me ideas
i have gone to 1000. and now i work all the same. once you put it behind you you rarely think about it or even remember. when i do i feel happy it happened and a bit of shame maybe but thats it. the hardships of life are what actually makes you feel better.
another wageslave entering the market, sad!
Jobs suck bro give it maybe a year you’ll wish you never did college
Adult life sucks
Dodge work as much as possible
I don't have to work when all the works are done by my maids and peons working illegally for that meager wage at the estate. Thanks grandpa for this wealth.
