Would you do it?
I don't think i would
what a sad day
Whats so sad about it anon?
it was nice and sunny in the morning now it's all cloudy
Well, it was about to change this year but the government backed off due to protests. It wasn't the only reason however.
that's good
rnz.co.nz
Do you think its going to be enough?
It could be worse, I still got to dry my washing.
Why would they protest? Isn't it important to keep yourselves safe?
The whole process is in full swing. Right now the number of people getting called up is miniscule (last draft expected 830 people, 750 of which ended up volunteering). These maps will probably stop painting us green after 2027, when the scale of conscription is expected to rise and there's going to be actual consequences for people that try to dodge the draft.
This goddamn forsaken country has been going on autopilot for like 7 years, I don't remember. And the political inestability hasn't been so kind on us too. It's been a mess since the 80s, I think, but it was overcome and then it's bad again.
This current government hasn't done anything about crime so the situation is pretty bad in the capital and bad in other regions. We are experiencing terrorism again.
Isn't it important to keep yourselves safe?
That wouldn't work. As far as I know, the military isn't allowed to do anything to the criminals (mostly venezuelan), so more conscription wouldn't work at all.
Coco
She's second to Mymy.
Mymy > Coco > Maya
At least one year in the reserves should be compulsory for all citizens in my opinion.
Then how will Peru become future military super power?
Do you think people in Australia would support that?
Do you think people in Australia would support that?
Absolutely not
Inaccurate map; Haiti does not have an army.
cool breeze of lovely spring air coming through my window
cute pic
Then how will Peru become future military super power?
The last time we were a superpower we weren't a country. The viceroyalties are no more, so Peru's might will probably never shine again.
Very sad anon, how will Australia ever protect itself.
I am pretty sure the gangs that rule the country count as an army.
Kino
Estonia should be red I tthink
That or the Kenyan peacekeepers who are doing more heavy lifting agaist the gangs then the actual "army".

Welcome to our world. Defense matters is probably the only thing our government seems to be taking seriously.
Coco's clearly the best of the three btw.
Just like Saint George, Phillip Tapsell is an also an honorary anglo.
Welcome to our world
I didn't Letonia was experiencing bad scenarios. The only thing I know that is really bad in Letonia is that there are schools that teach only in Russian. Letonia is still pretty attached to its former soviet master and I don't like that.
I fear the letonian language might disappear in the future.
Btw, I enjoy your national filmmaking studio.
I don't remember the name but I think it's "Riga Film Studio".
I had a few short films saved in my drive but I can't find them or else I'd post screenshots.
Sorry. I forgot Letonia is your country's name in Spanish. I found the screenshot I posted on Anon Babble.
I love foreign animation films. And Latvian sounds pretty when women speak it in the cartoons.
do you go on Anon Babble daliy peruvian anon i haven't seen you much
I visit 4chinz very often, pretty much daily since last year but the hours I spend each day vary.
These recent months I'm usually on Anon Babble but I do visit other boards. Anon Babble,Anon Babble, Anon Babble and the archives. I miss threads of many topics so I usually get my info from archived threads.
fair, good to see you though
I must have this cartoon somewhere in my drive. I know I have a folder in which I saved a few of my rips. I will post them in the thread if I get more.
I am running out of storage so probably not soon.
I'd visit Anon Babble more often if the gayposting stopped or at least decreased. Many threads have shit OPs and the jannies don't do their work, so it's been tiresome to skim through the catalog. To be honest, I don't check on generals often.
The russians schools are the least of our worries and are basically all but dead in most relevant places.
Our issue is the overwhelming amount of bureaucracy and nothing being done about it, which will fuck us over massively in the future. That and the fact crime rates remain high here as well (but they're "european" high, so take from that what you will).
Rīgas Kinostudija
Glad you enjoy them anon, chances are if anything enjoyable came from here during sovak times, it came from them. Some of their movies have pretty much been engrained in our culture at this point (Limuzīns Jāņu nakts krāsā comes to mind).
Sadly they're mostly a legacy thing at this point, mostly working with digitalization, renting out spaces and organizing excoursions. If any solid modern animation (or films frankly) will come from this place, it'll be mostly from indie studios.
I understand. I think my knowledge about Latvia was really outdated.

I think so. I haven't found much from Latvia recently. It's sad that some ex soviet countries' animations are the best or the only cartoons they have. Straume is a nice movie but it doesn't show Latvian influence in it, or at least from the clips I've watched.
And Estonia isn't going great either. I found some recent estonian animations and one is about a wolf gigolo and the other is about some dead-end job guy who dances to cows for them to produce more milk.
I haven't checked on Lithuania but things look bleak for current baltic animation films.
Straume's more impressive that it was literally cobbled together out of chump change and could stand up to, and beat, a lot of big boy studios. Plus it's genuinely a good watch. But a purely "Latvian" thing it ain't. Unless you look at the cat's behaviour in the first half, that's how well the average latvian interacts with other people lmao.
Something like Avārijas Brigāde is a lot better if you want more "latvian" influence. But again, 1990's.
Avārijas Brigāde
Thanks. I like what I'm seeing. It reminds me of that czech claymation cartoon Mat and Pat.
It's one of the better things to come out of here.
Plus they gave us this gem youtube.com
Ponychad, that you?
I remember another safety latvian video, one about a driver who almost ran over a guy. I didn't know it was from a series though.
The one and only ;)
Go watch Suur Tõll if you havent seen it yet
Suur Tõll
Tallinfilm
I remember that studio. Its films are interesting. It's hard to explain but almost everything seems to be a critic of their society.
Coming back at Suur Tõll, I like it. It reminds me of Marcell Jankovics' animated films. Hungary is lucky to have him, that guy is seriously a visionary.
I think the only cute cartoon they have produced is the dog girl Lotte, of which I have the full collection.
It was hard but I got all of them with English subs included.
btw if you want to look for estonian cartoonsor movies, efis.ee is our database
I edited my post and I forgot the spacing.
My commentary about Lotte should've been separated by a line.
I also forgot that cartoon dog series was made by a different studio called Eesti Joonisfilm. My bad.
That's awesome. The only information I had until now about Estonian movies were the private tracker release group EMX and the ERR website.
Latvia has the digitala biblioteka, Estonia has Efis, and now I wonder if Lithuania has its own film library.
This bad boy is 15 meters above the river
just got a ta moko to honor my tupuna what do you think?
