Post your country's natural borders. Also do you consider Slovenia really an alpine country?

Ehhhm... That wouldn’t be very wholesome and reddit if I did.

Do people live in the middle of the Alps? How many people live in that brown area? I guess many people could have summer houses there?

have a shitty map because of the 5 MB limit

Slovenia has 4 different Alpine mountain chains: the Julian Alps, the Karavanks, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and Pohorje. Also, Slovenian traditional culture is Bavarian.

I don't consider Slovenia a country.

this is france

that's why we are on Anon Babble and not on that faggot cringe retard website. Now post it

Pohorje

Doesn’t that just mean “mountainous place” kek?

do you consider Slovenia really an alpine country?

They are alpine as Turkey is Europe

I consider Slovenia heaven on earth and an example for all slavoids of the world that you can speak like pshchchsch and still be a developed wealthy well organized country (Germans couldn't believe that!)

montains are so short that there isnt even a well defined watershed

That Slovenia is Alpine is just a fact of geography. There are over 80 Alpine peaks in Slovenia over 2000m high. The symbol of our ethnicity is an Alpine peak, Triglav.

Carpathians to the north, Balkans to the south make the most aesthetic border. Also Slovenia I consider culturally alpine bit not geographically

like zagorje or prigorje or zagora

in this case it's 'pogorje', only in a dialectal form

pogórje -a s (ọ̑) v zaključeno celoto povezane gore

are štajerci and prekmurci even slovenians then? or are they more croatian? they dont have alpine culture, they are very similar to međimurci and varaždinci.

notice how the 'rj' in Hrvatsko Zagorje is not a found elsewhere in Croatian? It's a Slovenian word.

why Slovenia and Croatia can't just reunite
it would be a supercomfy state

because they were never united until Yugoslavia

because they were never united until Yugoslavia

they were united in AH
also not an excuse
we ignore skip historical accuracy in favor of aesthetic pleasure

there we go dipshit

that's not a natural border though, natural borders= sea, rivers or mountain rages watershed s

there was always an internal border. Slovenia was always Germany, Croatia was always Hungary.

so what, by this logic there was also an internal border within Yugoslavia

you can have a united country but with an internal border, just you should be together so you wouldn't need to argue over petty issues like borders on the sea

languages are funny because nowadays we usually speak a very universal standardized form of them that was invented by a few people sitting at desks but the reality is they are organic and since slovenians and north croatians are ethnically and genetically the same people who come from the same place and spoke the same language and have 0 natural borders but had a border drawn and imposed by austria and hungary, although the border itself wasnt even a border, we ended up speaking "different languages" and you can act all smart and say that these people actually speak slovenian and those words are slovenian but no. the language and words predate the idea of a slovenian identity. those words are just words and those people are all the same slavs.

I mean, like duh, what did you expect of THE original schizo irridentism?

i wish we had diverse dialects transgressing political borders in my country

its a hassle sometimes i come from a place that speaks a dialect and you get tired of the comments about it. most dialects are extremely diluted but theres a few very nice and unique ones.

The good ending… de iure happened btw but the borders weren’t exactly arranged afaik. I’d let the Slovenes stay with Austria, nobody really gives a shit about them anyway.

Read the WW1 section.

yeah dialects must be cool and just give you a strong feeling of "belonging" to the place and that this place has long traditions

yes it also gives you a strong feeling of not belonging when you move somewhere and people act nasty towards you, you really cant hide where youre from and you can never adapt without sometimes slipping up (not that youd want to). but yes id say its positive sometimes people do appreciate it

Ah history is sad. You just had to give italy some more concessions, especially because you annexed bosnia and there was a pact that avery expansion of Ah in the balkans should have been compensated by concessions to italy. But AH was too arrogant and paid the price in the end. Sad!

Do you consider Slovenia an alpine country?

Yes, the mountains north-west of Ljubljana don't look dinaric at all

Those are actually Switzerland's natural borders. But thanks for posting.

Idk. Give the whole mountain range to Norway maybe and give us all the flatlands.

The natural borders of Croatia are from the rivers Mur and Drau on the north, Danube and Bosna to the east, Raša on the west and Neretva to the south.

Cope harder. Took you the entire war to pass a single mountain peak and it only happened after the empire crumbled. I like Italy and Italians but that’s because most aren’t retarded enough to take pride in the series of failiures that comprise the first half od the 20th century for Italy.

bro u just had to respect the pacts, give more land in exchange for bosnia annexion being arrogant and you would have your empire to this day, its sad
