Why are they are little and why are there so much?
I just crashed out looking to the Municipalities of Slovenia
Like why doesn't Slovenia fix this problem
Everyone thought Ljubljana was getting too much of the budget, so they redrew the municipalities to stimulate cash flow into the countryside, I think
so they redrew the municipalities to stimulate cash flow into the countryside
I dont get it Marge, why would withdrawing municipalities make Ljubljana less lucrative for investments
If that is true then that would be weird because there are so much municipalities
it can be only fixed if Slovenia joins a bigger entity together with its south Slavic brethren like in ol' good times
redrew, not withdrew, and it was about EU bucks, since the change happened more than a decade ago (Slovenia doesn't recieve much EU cash now as the economy has continued to grow).
Like Yugoslavia?
yeah, no thanks, I don't want my kids to speak Serbo-Croatian
Yeah i meant redraw, but if its about EU bucks i guess it makes sense if they have some retarded rules about how funds are distributed
Isn't Slovene and Serbo-Croatian similar language?
I disagree I think we need more.
A new bill is being drafted to split each in 4 naming them north, south, east and west respectively.
There's an opposing bill though that might prevent it from going through, that one wants to split each municipality into 8 different sections to account for the diagonals. And then the third bill which i doubt will gain much traction is the 5 way split with a central municipality, though they might gain more favor if they split the central one 2-4 ways.
It's hard to feel represented in the current climate. Personally I'm holding out my vote for the 8 trigrams 64 palms split to coincide with my coming out as a taiji-pilled hyuuga clan member with Kras street cred.
Similar but not identical. Slovenian is like a more elaborate, less oriental SC.
You don't need more
I don't want my kids to speak Serbo-Croatian
i think they will learn it anyway by cons0000000ming serbo-croat media 24/7 like all Slovenes do
Slovene language was more widely spoken across Slovenia in Yugo times than now, where half of Ljubljana speaks Serbo-Albanian and the other half probably already Hindi and Nepali
why don't you take your act public, there's no good comedians around rn
Why dont they jsut turn into more Germans? I dont understand why they would keep any connection to yugoslavs at all, just force German in school and make your televisions forbidden from broadcasting yugoslav stuff
because German culture is boring and rigid and doesn't move the Alpine Serb soul
Serbian popculture is just addictive (I cons000000me it as well, even living so far away from the Balkans)
it was the Croats who imitated German schlager music and Slovenian radio still plays that sort of stuff from time to time. Slovenian music in ex-Yu that was not rural was mostly influenced by French chansons.

Slovene sounds totally like Czech, I wouldn't distinguish them when spoken and I wouldn't know what language it is
there's no good comedians around rn
But if I went public this wouldn't change.

it's harder to rhyme in Slovene than in SC, but Slovenian popular music sure has had its highlights
I just listened to it, sounds serbo-croatian in tempo more than slovenian.
might've just been those women's accent though I can't say
It seems better suited for poetry than singing, sustained notes kind of mess with it whereas structured poetry flows pretty naturally.
it's a reworking of
"Les Champs-Élysées" is a 1969 song by the American-French singer Joe Dassin. It is a French-language cover of "Waterloo Road"
these female choirs were popular here in the 1960s too, must be a commie thing

I meant czech speech.
The song is fine.
If it is similar then it won't be really hard to learn
They were mixed-gender here, actually

We also have a lot of them as well but the problem with Slovenia is that they don't have real official regions above municipalities like counties in Croatia.
Their historical regions are more for statistics and such.
We had 70 years of Yugoslavia yet that didn't happen. Southerners have always been viewed with suspicion here due to their Ottoman culture
those are deffo statistical regions more than they are traditional ones
Ottoman culture is cool tho
Erdogan wishes he had the Ottoman Empire back.
yugoslavs won't be against it, they already consume Turkish culture and food like crazy
sure, I love sevdah and ćevapi, but there's plenty of that in Zagreb, Sarajevo and Belgrade, no need to add Ljubljana too.
So just copying
Bosnian folk-rock from the 70s is pretty wild, I like both it and the similar Turkish folk-rock, but I wouldn't call it an imitation

Well okay
There are people who memorize names of all first-level administrative units in Europe. Have mercy on them
what even is slovenia
baby don't hurt me
don't hurt me
no more
I am looking hard and I can't find Slovenia
we wuz Carinthians, that's what we called ourselves back then
Based and municipality-pilled
return and unite with your Carinthian Brethren up norf
I forgot about Italy principalities
How is anybody supposed to remember all those principalities?
well on the Slovene border there were no principalities, only the Patriarchate of Friuli, a largely German-staffed bishopric that was later taken over by the Serene Republic of Venice, as well as smaller town-sized 'communes' like Trieste and Capodistria that were eventually appropriated by the Venetians and Austrians.
they've not been a political body since the modern era.
So much historical lore, I love it
also, the patriarchate of Friuli had Byzantine origins from around the same time as the Serenissima, the dark ages before Charlemagne, hence why it was called a patriarchate like a modern orthodox archbishopric
Damn you, we need more. You of all people should relate
Still those are still tons of municipalities
The USA already has tons of countries in the States with all repetitive and simple names
I mean counties
Sorry I misspelled
heh
uhhh, Republic Skandia, Christmas, do you copy, base?
say again, strike team
I said we're gonna fucking nuke Moscow, base, yeehaw!
you jest, but they do actually have a town named Moscow
The USA is enemies with Russia bur has a town named Moscow lol
They have top tier memory.
