2. Apply a layer pre-shave balm, THEN shaving cream. I guarantee you'll get a better shave. The canned foam alone doesn't have enough moisture to soften the hairs.
3. Shave with the grain in short gentle strokes
4. Rinse again with hot water, go over any missed spots
5. Now rinse with ice cold water to close up the pores and protect them from dirt and oil
6. Apply a balm-type aftershave lotion. Not alcohol-based
