Tfw I earn only 24k USD/year

tfw I earn only 24k USD/year

tfw literal American burger flippers earn more than me

That's the cost of nice weather and bananas.

I earn about that working in a kitchen, but I only work four days a week.
I quit my job, though.

yeah I suffer in the United States earning 100,000 usd starting

I see

We need to put every single 'Murican into eternal rest if you know what I mean

unemployment is at like 30% here (the government uses shit ways of recording this so they only say its like 5%)
i applied to 110 jobs when i got out of highschool and the only place that hired me was a corrupt store chain that worked me down from the promised 20-25 hours a week down to 5-10, while only paying me 11.50/hr and refusing to give me any sort of raise because i was working too few hours
we are literally in the middle of a great depression

and to put that into perspective i think my highest paycheck was under $300, which i got every other week
most weeks it was in the low 100s

Do you have a college degree?

i still don't know how brazilians made whole world wear this ugly ass shirt

We did nothing, foreigners began wearing them on their own.

Now factor in cost of living

cost of living

Cope used by thirdies to feel better about themselves

dude i shouldnt have to have a fucking degree to get a decent job
they should just make it illegal for companies to make degrees a required qualification for any job under 100k, its ruining peoples lives forcing people to meet insane standards

2000 dollars per month

complaining

kys retard our minimum wage is 1000 dollars

double the minimum wage isn't liveable in any country

Still better than Brazil's 250 dollars per month o algo.

unemployment is at like 30% here

can't fool anyone

stop being retarded

humble bragging faggot. do you work as a hooker or what?

tfw 12k USD/yr

Worst part is, if I made twice that, I'd have a pretty good life, with a nice yearly vacation and all

A degree is not an insane standard if you’re not genuinely retarded.

I make 20k net a year but it's my first job, I've been working it mostly to get experience
Now that I have 1.5 years of experience I'm targeting like 35k a year net + remote

I've lived on about 4000€ a year my whole life.

""""only""""" 2000€ monthly after taxes ? Very decent salary for most French people. Many are around 2100€ 2200€, i am talking master's degree 2 years experience level this is average and won't get that much higher
The """thirdie""" larp is jsut bullshit, I read salaries here from Poles, Brazilians, Bulgarians, Mexicans etc here and they earn as much as we do

muh cost of living

lmaooooo look at prices in Paris

All this "firsties are lucky they have so much money" stuff is completely retarded. OP earns more than most Portuguese people. Including hard workers with 30 years experience. 1st world and 3rd world don't exist anymore, we are all globalized and on global wages.

its far more complicated than that in reality and you it
i'll wind up wasting 4 years of my life not working plus a few tens of thousands of dollars in debt just to get a degree that companies dont care about anymore because they get workers from india and demand stupidly unrealistic qualifications nobody has from the local people
a degree should actually mean something

cheaptugal

All this "firsties are lucky they have so much money" stuff is completely retarded. OP earns more than most Portuguese people. Including hard workers with 30 years experience.

OP is a privileged professional, he's not representative of the average Brazilian

no dude it's just that the rest of the world is fucking poor compared to americans
i know people who used to make more than what OP posted here and went to the US anyway to work in dead end jobs but they're now making more money there and don't want to come back
don't believe a single word of what americans say here they don't know how good they have it

I did "waste" 3.5 years at university not working to get a degree, but I didn't need to get into debt. But because of the ubi I got me an entry job which I used to gain experience and now I'm in a pretty good position to choose jobs because I have market value
I have a friend my age though, who started getting jobs after high school at 18 and now he makes 3x what I make despite working less and remote, because he's got "7 years of experience"
So had I been smarter I would try to get some entry level job 5 years ago instead of going to uni, but I wasn't feeling confident enough so I went on to uni. So in the end I don't regret it. But if I was in debt because of it I wouldn't go

yeah but then americans will crash and burn, we are seeing their market collapse in real time, i don't believe you can sustain this level of inlfated difference forever, they are not worth this much and it is temporary, usa is an overvalued bubble

2000€ is still having a degree at least in france, he said lawyer and beginner generic-lawyer with no connections is not far from this, beginner in fact is closer to 1800€ then you go up slowly (it can go very high with the right connections obviously, but in brazil also)

i understand we have much better infrastructure and services but purchasing power is very questionable

You must be high income in Brazil. In my country the yearly salary is 2k$ average among the college educated. It's lower if you have no degree.

I have never made more than £27,000 ($36,000) per year.
I am 35 years old.

I did 70 hours weeks for 2500€
Minimum wage 9.5€/h but you get paid 8€/h the overtime is counted as a non taxable bonus and it's illegal but shut your mouth at least you're getting ok money

Only 10% of workers earn more than 1k€ per month in Brazil, OP would be in like top 5% or above.
The median net wage in the US is about 3k€ per month, it's on par with Germany. They're rich but not that rich, the Nordics, the Benelux, and Switzerland are all richer than them.

Thirdies seem to have extremely high income inequality. I guess we only get the richfags here.

stop posting this fucking tranny

perfect tummy but I hate that wig, this is why I stick to 2D

I was making 900 USD/month last year, you guys have a distorted view of the world.

And so do Americans, that's why you see all those six figure dudes all over the Internet yet the median is so low.
Their low taxes are also compensated by no tax-funded healthcare, education, and retirement: American net worth is so high because they have to live off savings in elderly.
If you're a simple humble worker, Europe is still the best place to live in.

Foreigners don't know but in France if you get the minimum 1400€/m you get "activity bonus" for 200€ so it's actually a unqualified 1600€ job by default.
And then the 1600€ base will get like 50€ bonus at best so the 1600€ lightly qualified job (bachelor degree) is worth 1650€
(Depending on where you live you can complement that with housing aid (APL) which is the same proportion) so 50€ more only
And then the 1800€ qualified job gets nothing as bonus, (bachelor or maybe master's degree) compared to the 1400€ basic one it's worth only 200€ more only actually not 400€, with apl maybe even less
And then if you go too high, basically a lot of it will go to taxes so you are soft capped and get out of it by being parisian and part of the upper class

Some will disagree but this is how it is for a lot of normal French people. I know a guy who says "90% of the french get 1800€ a month"
Sure some go way above but for the common person you can be a lab worker or teacher or accountant or flip burgers you get very comparable wages.
Very egalitarian society i guess but some say it is communist

I'm 25, I have a bachelors degree only and nothing else. But I was excepcionally good at my job so they gave me a promotion

brazilians would go to these countries if they had better opportunities there
believe >we are cockroaches
the truth is if you want to make money the US is the best country rn
my mum makes more than OP and we consider ourselves middle class (not even upper middle class)
are we "richfags" compared to most brazilians according to official stats? idk maybe but theres a lot of people that makes more than that too from what i perceive from personal experience
