are you a Giga CHAD who chose the field where people will never get replaced by Robots and AI(AKA EE) in your country?
Are you a Giga CHAD who chose the field where people will never get replaced by Robots and AI(AKA EE) in your country?
I chose neetdom, I don't think ai will be able to replace neets
Ill do it eventually or ill join the army and be a grunt though i think the latter is already being replaced by ai
Once your parents die it's "hello living on the streets or in housing homes with refugees for a few decades".
I wouldn't say "never", but at least careers safe for the next 50 years:
electrical engineer
civil engineer
doctor or anything medical
computer HARDWARE (engineer)
what are some others?
This. Robots can't claim NEETbux or waste £100 a week on UberEats. I think I'm safe for quite a long time.
Engineers are safe as long as it's related to construction/industry.
Anything health related is safe.
Sales since chinks will never stop producing crap.
You're delusional about the computer hardware part.
Trades and techies (people who execute what engineers plan).
People who maintain things in general.
Truck drivers (they'll be automated but maybe not in the next 50 years).
Once the time comes just rent and/or sell some of stuff you inherited and live on it.
the Austrian can start an apprenticeship(Ausbildung) at 35 and save his life, while your country's economy shits on college graduates, he still has a chance, but not you
3 BBCs are imported to fill the economic hole you created btw
once the time comes
Let's assume his parents had him at 30. People in Austria live until they're 81. He'll have to wait until he's 51. Maybe they had him younger, maybe they'll live longer. And his parents will have to pay a shit ton of taxes to inherit him what they have. And if he has relatives they'll want a part too.
they'll hire someone near 40 with no experience
You live in lalaland. At that age they want managers.
I was people applying for Ausb at late age lol, you literally work more than study
related to construction/industry
so just civil?
Sales since chinks will never stop producing crap.
additionally, anything "human-centric." like being a judge. or politician. or CEO.
>the Austrian can start an apprenticeship(Ausbildung) at 35 and save his life, while your country's economy shits on college graduates, he still has a chance, but not you
I'm not going back to university or starting an apprenticeship, so this is irrelevant to me.
Computer Engineer
I believe this is a meme degree too. Just go EE
yes, didnt chose out of knowledge though, just wanted to be an engineer, still a year to graduate
It's fine if you have past experience in something related then get the education on top but if it's backed by nothing you're facing a wall or at best you'll end up working with guys 20 years younger than you.
No. Petroleum and aeronautics works too.
Yes but they'll be way more competitive than before. They're already super competitive. Unless you know someone or graduated from a top tier university Law is very hard to get a good position into. Vast majority of the lawyers coming will barely make anything while spending all day filling out paperwork in hope of one day becoming a judge.
computer hardware is EE and applied physics , while studying EE you can choose to study Hydraulic, Automation and Mechanical engineeering classes to work in Industry, or more theoritical Electronic Engin to be a boards and intergrated circuits monkey
It's a meme degree in the same vein as "mechatronics."
You're gonna get replaced by Jeets
EE is the way to go. ME is starting to show some early signs of saturation because everyone goes there by design thinking they can just change their specialty later on (when in reality barely anyone does that and it's super hard). Niche things like Petroleum, Nuclear and Biomedical 100% depend on whether or not you get good internships.
ME is just over-crowded and over-competitive with everyone coming in hoping to design cars and spaceships. avoid all the "sexy" careers
H1B jeets come here for tech jobs. Some engineers come but in fields other than tech you'll never be invaded by jeets because of filtering (doesn't mean you won't have some). For the US that's especially true regarding health.
There aren't that many automation related jobs available in the industry. Maybe in the US it's different idk. Hydraulic is the most solid option out of the 3. It's hard to find good hydraulicians these days.
>computer HARDWARE (engineer)
what does this job actually entail? if ive fucked with the insides of computers can i get hired for this?
spaceships
A government Defense job in Aerospace Engineering can never be replaced by Indians. Indians literally will never be able to get security clearance, that's why. I don't think "sexiness" has anything to do with it desu.
no, you can't just slide your way into a real engineering job without certification. this isn't software coding
A redpill to swallow regarding engineering (or not really one) is that barely any of them design anything. It's more about planning, regulation, checking for errors or modifying already existing designs. Those jobs they think about are for the elite Sillicon Valley kind.
Anything regarding ballistics, aeronautics and aerospace is 100% safe for americans since it's all government jobs or subcontractors who are also obligated to only hire americans.
I got a degree in IT Management, but i work with Hardware now.
Guess i'm safe for the time being.
Starting an apprenticeship and making shit up about their past "experience" is the only hope NEETs really have past a certain age.
people holding CS/SE degrees are the same suckers that tried to become investment bankers in wall street in the 1980's
I got a degree in CE and ended up doing embedded systems. Industrial automation to be specific. It's a fairly common path to take. Some guys went for nuclear plants, space tech and military contracts.

I'm in quantitative tech/analysis in investment banking. It's a lesser known career and pays pretty great. Less stress and better "work/life balance" than when I worked as a traditional engineer.

Yes. I'm on the border between power and industrial automation
So, you do something like frequency converters and PLCs?
Technicians do that. Not engies.
frequency converters and PLCs?
Yes but we only deal with very large converters
I'm about to finish my CS degree in a year. Is it over?
Yes.
Most apprenticeships won't hire oldfags though. A lot of them have hard age limits, and even the ones that don't strongly prefer young people. It's probably easier to just get a job than an apprenticeship.
idk
some companies prefer Engie over experienced Tech if the systems are large and lil complicated
t. 24/7 shitposter while TIA Portal and Proteus are open on a screen
They will. They hire anyone. They're desperate for people. No they don't like young people because they're not serious and tend to ghost after being trained. No it's not easier. You won't find anything stable unless you have an in demand qualification. Maybe you'll get to work in a supermarket or something. No qualifications and no contacts = nothing. Maybe the army of the foreign legion.
They will. They hire anyone
Not in bongland, I've been getting rejected from all sorts of apprenticeships for months.
asbildung.de usually has open seats 3 weeks before the start of classes and would take anyone, in case of the Austrian anon
Which is retarded because on a practical level an experienced tech will know how to do the job while a freshly graduated engie will be clueless. You're talking about very big companies.
No offense but if you're honest on your resume of course they'll ghost you. It's also very region dependant. In some regions here they hire en masse, in some they reject people.
Electrical Engineering projected growth rate:
2%
Software Engineering projected growth rate:
25%
Cope about it. You all regret not going into tech.
yes
t. RF engineer
Offer and demand. Less jobs around but a lot less electrical engineers and a loooot less pajeets. Have fun competing with all those H1B though.
you sound salty. how much do you make a year? (you can always go back to school for CS)
No, you'll end up doing half the work and making twice as much as traditional engineers
It will never not be funny watching your kind pretend there are jobs around in that field for new graduates.
