why would joining the EU be an ultimate goal for anyone? Bulgaria is in the EU but it's magnitudes worse than Serbia.
What matters is what provides you best business opportunities and for Serbia it makes sense to stay outside of the EU which gives them a leeway to cooperate with other powers as well and serve as a middleman between them, profiting from it like no one else.

it depends, Yugoslavia has two separate music traditions - Turko-Gypsy and European. Sometimes they obviously merge, giving an interesting mix but most of the time they stay independent and completely different people create both genres

From my experience, Albanians and Muslims only have a common religion but they don't care about each other. Zagreb doesnt need a metro. Its got less than 1 million inhabitants, and while the traffic isnt good, it hasnt got the infrastructure problems of Belgrade, partly because its better managed, partly because its on waaay more forgiving terrain.

The public transport is fine, better and definately in better condition than in Belgrade. Zagreb needs better car infrastructure, but thats very true for Belgrade aswell, traffic there is much scarier.
