It's an extremely hard question to decide which is more standard, but I definitely side with the European varieties in both cases: you know that the Portuguese of Portugal is also spoken in Africa and whatever else were your colonies besides Brazil - it's international, it's the former imperial standard - while the Portuguese of Brazil, even though way more widespread, is still a local, national variety - it's not really meant to be taught to foreigners who don't study it to live there.
And it's the same in English: you learn British in the classroom because it's the formal imperial standard and you learn American if you for some reason want to mimic Americans. American is local. It was never meant to be taught to foreigners, especially not in Europe. It's weak people stripped of their own language's media who use it because they're forced to. And so this way British English retains its Imperial might even though the UK is much poorer than the US, even if we count London alone. Still, it was the Empire.

Russian - want to forget it actually, zero uses for it whatsoever, like not even baiting it's a completely useless language, a total brain space waste.
English - ...
High German - need it to start my career, otherwise quite unappealing and weird, I suppose I'll stop using it as well if I move out of Germany later.
Swiss German - same as High German, but if I'll move to Confoederatio Helvetica.
Spanish (plus Portuguese) - to travel to (and maybe to retire in) South America, though I'm not really sure whether I'll really like it or whether I'll actually need the language there but I feel like I will.
Hebrew (plus Aramaic) - the best language for mental exercise in all possible senses, the holy language of the best religion and a bridge to the Ancient Near East and the Semitic world in general, basically the only non-European language worth learning.

I'm truly disgusted and horrified by French (both the nation and the language) because it symbolises the rapid downfall of the entire Old Europe. The French is now just a pale shadow of itself and every time when I encounter it, I have a very disturbing sinistre feeling.
I guess even if I go to America some day in the end, I want to show off with my British English that I do in truth belong to the Old World and that will never ever be truly American, like Humbert Humbert from Lolita or H.P. Lovecraft or something like that or however the doordash burgers are ordered.
This is exactly what I was adviced 3 years ago before this site was overridden by jeets, magatards, and other smelly things.
I also feel like I'm just wasting my brain cells by knowing Russian. It's such an unreasonably complex and yet useless language. There's nowhere one can really utilise it, the sole country where it's actually used is so terrifyingly unappealable and unreasonable to live in that it makes knowing and trying to use it just laughable, in fact even more so than knowing Latin or Toki Pona. Only French is more laughable than Russian, because French at least was truly great once.
Just imagine yourself learning Russian, yes russian, that fucking disgusting, nasty, putrid language. fucking inserting it into your brain. Having that goblin speak inscripted inside your memory.
Now imagine people doing that deliberately to themselves. What have the world come to?

2) Christianity is by no means the best one, it derives from the combination of the two WORST Greek philosophies (Platonism and Stoicism).
