I feel like most people just use those as loose focal points and the actual mental concentration is just on the overall holistic features of the face.
Like for instance I have heard that regular people spend about 40% of their time actually looking at the eyes of the people they are speaking to. Which is not an insignificant amount, but also not that much. Meanwhile atypical people either drag it closer to 0 or paradoxically overshoot their eye contact because they are under the belief that you should be locked in on their eyes. Basically what I am saying is that autists obsess about the eyes either way. Normies dont really care about it and neither should you.
