you don’t shit where you eat, aka, i’d rather regularly visit Europe as a vacation destination so I have something to look forward to. moving to any place will kill any magic it has.

i’m content with my life right now. month long vacations to a different european country every year unironically gives me the motivation to work

I already did almost 2 decades ago with my family (I was a kid). Thanks to my grandpa I already had the spanish passport on hand so moving here was easy for us.

i spent a year doing my master’s degree in Ireland, check out Trinity College or something in the area. it’s great being in an English-speaking country but being so close to everything else

Ireland is a good choice. What bothers me is the lack of air conditioning.

Also they have this thing called folk high school. It’s literally a party school where you make hundreds of friends. Fully granted/loaned by the government.

nah it’s not bad, the only shitty thing really is that food goes bad pretty quickly due to the high humidity. that and the constant drizzle rain that cannot decide whether or not it wants to start or stop.

housing market is ass, yeah, especially in the cities. i had a roommate when i was staying there and it wasnt too difficult to find him, go on an international students forum or facebook and youll find loads of people looking to share places. i think my rent was about €850/month

also, no. the immigration thing isn’t THAT bad. i promise you, Ireland is far, far whiter than many places in Amerixa. alongside that most of the immigrants are “out of sight”, they literally do nothing. youll maybe notice most of them while on public transport or sitting around in a costa or something, rarely are they in the pubs, local shops, or at the universities

sorry, adding ONE more thing, if you’re worried about a “minority” to stay away from, be aware of the travellers. fucking assholes will try picking a fight with you for no reason. theyre pretty hard for me to identify personally as they look and sound like irish people, the best way to steer clear is to make a few irish friends who’ll go out with you and let you know if any of the local knackets are prowling around

Does most of Europe not have similar if not identical problems to the US, except I'd make less money? I mean, UK is essentially just the US but a million times worse in almost every way. France, Germany, etc. seem kind of like the US but not as bad. But we're all still "westerners" in the end, getting overran by foreigners that hate us with dilapidating major cities and terrible prospects of ever having a happy family. I see no reason at all that my life would improve upon moving to Europe.
