The minimal quality of life:

Minimum quality of life in the US is middle class in most other western countries except like Liechtenstein, Switzerland or Norway

most people here expect to have a new model car, a new model house, and new iphone every 18 months. This has caused consumer debt to soar

I have an 815 score (excellent) and my apr is still 23% which is pretty bad all things considered. Most Americans have aprs twice that if not more.

Why do your people live in temporary housing? The houses look like they're made out of the same material as shipping containers.

Trailers are made from much cheaper material than shipping containers. All shipping containers are made of steel, my doublewide is plywood on an aluminium frame. It's ok since it's on a proper foundation. Trailer and manufactured homes are ok so long as it's on a good level dry base, because the water rot always works up unless the roof is broken and the crawlspace serves as insulation.

What is a new model house? Houses have models, serial numbers?

The gypsies here live with more dignity in brick homes. Do you choose this? In the land of the American Dream? Everyone here thinks you guys all live in McMansions. But it seems most americans don't actually own anything if you count their debt

What is a new model house?

When I was growing up it was houses made after the 70s when modern door locks, double-paned insulated windows, fire egress windows, and grounded outlets became hard legal requirements. Older buildings do not have this and it shows. For people nowadays, "new model" means a brand name KB Home in a gated subdivision with an access code. This is because people who are spending $800,000 on a house want the ability to keep pedestrians away, since pedestrians might include homeless people or drug addicts. Additionally, newer homes are MUCH cheaper to fully insure, as home (and renters', for them) insurance is required in my state.

As a result there's a big difference in pricing especially outside of a large market like San Francisco or Los Angeles. Most Americans want a big new home where they don't have to make compromises and can have huge appliances and oversized Lay-Z-Boy couches. Older homes often cannot fit them.

Brick homes fall over in earthquakes, I can go down to what used to be the family barn and still see the ruins of it when it fell over in 1989. And that barn itself is built on the foundation of the barn that replaced the one that fell over in 1906. Brick isn't the best, brick is only useful for insulation but propane is cheap. Trailer homes are, by their nature, flexible. Even if the foundation cracks, the house's subframe will eat the stress until I can get it fixed. It's a very durable, although very flammable, design.

But it seems most americans don't actually own anything if you count their debt

This is true and largely dependent on debt. Our economy is debt. It's debatable how long it will last since cars and auto debt is increasingly becoming the largest form of debt.

what is score and apr?

minimal quality of life

What does this mean exactly?
I assume you are referring to higher education and entertainment options other than alcohol

my credit score, my ability to obtain free money
apr = Annual Percentage Rate. My credit card borrowing rate is 23%. My state's average is 22% and the US national average is 28%. The actual averages are probably 3-4% higher due to how most Americans actually use credit and how credit is actually reported to the government.

Where did you get this picture of my room?

Hookay Lazlo. I bet these cocksuckers are all really glad their houses weren't assembled from panels of lumber and steel.

free money

You forgot about interests?
Also I don't get that APR thing, do you have to pay interests when buying stuff?
Here we pretty much only use debit cards

oh ok, i dont use credit cards

Americans have the highest incomes, lowest taxes and cheapest iPhones in the world

Lowest taxes? There are swiss anons in this thread. Even my country has lower taxes.

I dont know what you or a Swiss is or does, sorry

cheapest iPhones

Good consumer, keep up the good work

You have Luxembourg(city) tier rent prices despite your cities having like latino tier murder rates though

you pay interest on the amount of your bill you don't pay off at the end of the month. So for March if I spend $7000 on my card but only pay $3000, then the next month my bill is $4,000 + $850 to $4,850. The $850 is interest I pay to the credit card company. When this happens, my credit score and credit line increases. Right now I have about $50k per card, but they're the free cards (no annual fee), if I were to get a premium card ($200ish/yr) I could get $150k per card. At 25%.

And I'm one of the better cases. Most Americans don't have it this good and are paying 44% or higher on their cards.

Average rent in Luxembourg: $2009

Average rent in Luxembourg City: $2175

Average rent in USA: $1625

and, such is why you will never be approved for a $70k car loan or $700k home mortgage

Barely better nationwide when you count corn country prices along side city prices

This is not the own you think it is

are you saying that if you dont pay on time you get a higher credit score?

in the 00s, you could have a car, house, big screen tv, cable, high speed internet, and you'd be considered in poverty.

No, if you don't pay on time you get a lower credit score. And if you don't meet the minimum payment, you get a lower credit score. I'm just explaining how the final interest charge per month is calculated. And it's compound interest so if I don't make a payment in April, then the bill comes to $6750 or thereabout.

of course i would. i have zero debt and pay my bills on time, it would be very safe for a bank to loan me money.

some people do use shipping containers. it's a neo-hipster thing i think

Ok I see

We're only 80% as expensive as the most overcrowded and expensive tax haven in Europe!!!!

Everyone says that. How do you prove it? The bank doesn't care about your promises.

That's the average for all rentals in America which includes single family houses, porno mansions, and exorbitantly priced luxury rentals. I pay $1200 a month to live in a 114m2 apartment in a metro of over 8 million people

And luxembourg includes actual castles
Also the USA has no rent subsides so its even more expensive for the working class than in paper, I'm pretty sure if your salary is not great you dont actually pay full rent like in France

Also assuming you live in Dallas you have 16 times the murder rate of France bro what the murder rate of Mayotte, a French African island only French in paper that has 99% black and muslim population, is 6
Jesus Christ dude

But muh 3 castles in Luxembourg

And how many robber baron estates do you think are for rent in New York alone?

Muh rent subsidies

Yeah we have those and income limited apartments too. I however don't need them because my wages from delivering fucking linens are 22% higher than your country's median yearly salary.

Ur crime

There have been 14 murders in 13 years where I live. The weather is more dangerous than crime.
