Go to clinic

go to clinic

tell them i am experiencing bloating every day and random vomiting

they ask me some stupid questions

start asking me about my mood and if i'm feeling stressed

they try to prescribe me anti-anxiety medicine

ask them if they know what's causing my symptoms

they say no and offer me anti-anxiety pills again

leave with $100 insurance copay

is healthcare awful in your country?

Sounds like you're intolerant to gluten
you're welcome

just take the pills stupid goy

Do you have stomach pain?

sounds like you're a woman, that's probably the issue

no

Go to a public county clinic for another opinion free of cost

I'd always wondered why Americans(especially whites) have the thousand yard stare as their default facial expression until I got to know the amount of anti-depressants they intake regularly.

ya i had a similar experience

go to ER with inability to speak or form coherent thoughts due to low blood sugar

think im on drugs so they give me Naloxone

still cant form coherent sentences and its getting worse

they shvoe a needle in my back and drain the fluid from my spine and brain check for brain problems

now im still unable to think or speak and i have a migraine headache from my brain sitting agianst my skull becuase they pulled two tubes of spinal fluid and i cannot get up without passing out or vomiting since my brain is resting against my skull.

the IV drip restores my glucose levels so i regain my brains ability to form coherent words

discharge me a day later with no diagnoses once i regain my basic functions

charged 20,000 dollars

lay in bed 1 week must stay laying down or i immediately vomit and pass out as my brains spinal fluid recovers

to top it off the bureaucracy fucked up the insurance processing somehow so i was directly charged for it and had to waste time fixing it myself chasing down the hospital and insurance

You unironically sound like some dumb bitch that becomes a hypochondriac due to stress

We need to overthrow the US government desu

wow that's much worse than my story

Do you know why you are vomiting? Is it after certain foods

Jesus...

healthcare and most of the medicines are free here

South Koreans aren't hopped up on SSRIs? We both have awful work cultures that drive people to suicidal depression.

WTF. That's really messed up

all foods

god I hate SSRI faggots so much
if you have to take psychopharmaceuticals every day for your "mood" or "personality disorder" you have a weak brain and should kill yourself

you would probably take them too if you had to live around americans

Can you explain more how you feel. What is your diet.

SSRIs

SSRIs stand for Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors. They are a type of antidepressant medication that works by increasing the amount of serotonin, a neurotransmitter in the brain, available to cells. This helps regulate mood and other mental health functions

what the fuck is wrong with americans? just write anti-depressants
anyone that says SSRI unironiacally deserves to get charged 20k for anything

My story:

suffer from recurring vomiting and diarrhea

my doctor says next time take a stool sample and gives me a kit

laboratory comes back without results

vomiting and diarrhea every other weekend pretty regularly

my doctor transfers me to a specialist, have to wait 7 weeks for an appointment

specialist sticks a tube down my throat, looks with an endoscope, says "gastritis" and takes a sample

laboratory says gastritis is not induced by bacteria, virus or chemicals

after about 4 months of suffering the diagnosis is stress-induced psychosomatic gastritis

I was really (really) stressed out by my deadend job, but apparently wasn't ready to admit that to myself.

i'm vegetarian. every day i experience severe bloating that makes me look fat even though im 21 bmi. and i vomit randomly every other day or so

"psychosomatic" is what doctors say when they don't know the real cause.

it screams

I read the info pamphlet and Wikipedia page for my antidepressant, and I understood nearly half of it!

it's a social epidemic just like child troonism in the States

I'm sorry unitedstatians
I'll not make fun of you guys anymore

Absolutely grim

But that's the thing - I was tested for every possible "real cause", and they didn't find anything.
Btw the job situation got worse and worse and lead to a burn out with panick attacks, hospitalization and everything. I lost the job over the stay in the hospital, and wouldn't you know, I didn't suffer from vomiting or diarrhea after that. I didn't change my diet or eating habits, I just didn't get sick anymore after the stress was gone.

There are anti-depressants that aren't based on SSRI mechanism though.

>after about 4 months of suffering the diagnosis is stress-induced psychosomatic gastritis

I think they simply didn't knew the issue

Can stress really make you shit and vomit yourself regularly?

Did that start suddenly or you always had these problems? Are you still bloating and vomiting after the anxiety pills?

Nerve gas

You never had stress induced diarrhea?

Apparently it can: see I guess it was my body telling me to stop what I was doing. The thing was I didn't even realize the stress even though the physical symptoms (sweat, fast heartbeat, shallow breathing, tense muscles, sleeplessness) were all there. It didn't register with my consciousness at the time, I thought it was normal.

You sound like a massive bitch. Your doctor should have sterilized you

Bizarre
I guess I never got that stressed

it's group identity/a label (for people, not drugs)

All of this could have been avoides if you drank soda

A friend of mine (same line of job) was wheeled into the emergency room with lights and sirens because of a heart attack. It turned out to be a panick attack, and he had to disappear into rehab for half a year after that.

This stuff is pretty real. Watch the first episode of the first season of "The Sopranos" - it's pretty much how they show it in the show.

idk man, sounds like stress to me
stress can do a lot of weird shit

I don't know, I do my annual checkup for my job. It's mandatory but other than that o never had big problems related to health except being fat and ugly. Overall I'm pretty healthy, I should do a full body checkout though just to be sure I don't have cancer or something like that

wtf can't you sue those mfkers?

It's just a you being a little bitch attack

I can't put down the cup I can't put down the cup

That's exactly what said friend would have said a week before he was rushed into the ER.

I don't know, one day it may happen to you and force you to join the 20th century.

This is worthy of a malpractice suit btw

How kind of job you did that made you that stressed?

IT consulting and software/project engineering.

I only go to doctors when I'm abroad since it's the same indians and you pay 1/100 because you're not supporting

Nurse jobs programs for midwits

Insurance jobs programs for lackluster college grads

Nurse assistant jobs programs for idiots

Nurses assistant assistant

Doctor's assistant assistant assistant assistant

And their assistant

Meanwhile last time I was sick while vacationing in Africa I got some Indian MD doc to see me immediately, prescribe the drugs which he had on hand and charge me equivalent of $16. thank you sir!

do you eat actual vegetarian food or goyslop on a green package?

Man you're too cheap, at least go to an European country. Better service than any African shamanic hospital.

Vegetarian is still very broad. Do you eat oats, fruits, yogurt, etc... or more like fried foods, chocolate.

Same indians but I'm sure it's also nice. Never got sick when in yurp but I did spray liquid shit all over your colleseum bathroom once. I am sorry about that

I live on the border with Mexico and I frequently go to Mexico for healthcare services.
Tbh I find that compared to the USA the doctors in mexicoa are far better, they at least know you chose them because of reviews and not because that is who your insurance wants you to see, so they prioritize you more. You don't end up with some dr who doesn't give a shit and sends you away after a couple minutes
without investigating. And it is not to expensive.
Plus there is no bullshit where you need to wait months to see a specialist, you can see them within a few days.

That's what you get when you stubbornly refuse to regulate the health sector, because "that's communist". In my country a joint committee of doctors representatives and health insurers agree on a fixed price for every kind of medical service. So every kind of consultation, every kind of operation or test or treatment has a fixed price. Some health insurances pay a multiple of that fixed price to nudge doctors into giving their patients quicker appointments. And of course if you're not happy with that, you can say "I'll pay for the treatment myself", they'll charge you 3.5 times the fixed price and you'll get a specialist's appointment next week. But overall, it keeps the fees down as most doctors are forced to accept the rates or they won't get enough patients. Or the doctors are very, very good and can afford to raise their fees to a level that will have to be paid by the patients themselves, because insurances don't cover them.

Anyway, in my country people don't lose their house because they were bitten by a snake and had to spend one week in hospital. Our doctors don't charge as if they had sent you to the moon and back just because they can, as they do in your country.

Im no doctor but my standing assumption is the glucose tests showed no odd results as the blood recovered but the neurological function had not yet. And everything after that was them being confused as hell and trying to rule everything else out. thinking CNS infection or stroke. But I'm not sure from what I've read the point of exhaustion I reached to impaired the brain like that is a hairs away from death or permanent effects.

No, foreign doctors can't work here. They have to complete their studies in Italy but even then they might not get hired.

wtf I have the same thing

Yeah the ones in the African countries I've been to started working with patients in second year of bachelor's, instead of our retarded system where premed students do as little as possible during bachelor's to get that sweet sweet GPA. The government also pays for med school in exchange for sending the docs out where they're needed. We have a program like that but as per usual it's gay and overly complex. I'd trust the average doctor from Botswana way more than the average one here who spends 5 minutes per patient and bills $2000 n hour.

Bro it is regulated, over regulated infact but it's regulated by the companies making the money off of it (like UHG and Epic Systems) which make it harder for docs to run small practices while simultaneously making it easier for big companies to get away with ANYTHING. that's why that one dude got killed.

Bro doctors in your country practice homeopathy you got no reason to takk

desu you should have asked chat gpt before going there, at least then you would know more and could guide them

I thought the guy got killed because his company refused payment for urgently needed treatment? Anyway, that's not even a discussion here. If you need treatment, the health insurance has to pay for it, period. There's obviously some kinds of treatment that don't fall under that, like aroma therapy, psychological treatment has to be pre-approved before it starts, and I honestly don't know if something like a sex change is covered by insurance or you have to pay for that yourself.

Also not covered are wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, glasses/contact lenses, hearing aides, dentures/tooth implants, prosthetics etc. I know I had to shell out more for my tooth implants than I would have for a car. Good thing I had money saved up. (Btw it's a hereditary problem, my father had the same.)

Freedom isn't free you goddam commie terrorist

south koreans just kill themselves
