It's 95% hurry up, prepare and wait. Very few actually see combat up front. There was no rush or adrenaline. Usually your spot then from far away then have them blown up. I'm an American so my experience was skewed. You'd just level a house hit it again then move on. Usually only count full heads. You might have like 10 bodies torn apart but only 2 full heads so you count two then move on. It was just a slaughter when I was in Afghanistan and iraqou'd see the news enemy causalities estimates and it was 1 counted 10 not. We couldn't really let out how bad it was. Iraq turned into a meat grinder for foreign fighters. Iraq was different because the native Iraq is who weren't tied to Saddam were pretty much on our side by 2006. Everyone had enough so the foreigners got ran out. The Russians getting away with the stuff they did in Iraq still pisses me off. They were trying to tear the region apart bush didn't wise up until 2006 really to Putin

With grenades you want your finger tips on then unless you just don't have time you'll see fingerless gloves on American soldiers alot this is partially why. Gloves will snag it screw up. In a trench like that no gloves or fingerless are absolutely needed

War is really boring and annoying. There isn't a rush or adrenaline drop. You just go in follow a schedule and plan rarely see the enemy then leave. A person doesn't know if he killed the enemy most of the time. You will shoot someone and see blood but the body is gone. It's not exciting. It's like taking a shower.
