The two sides of Slavdom

desu Czechia and Serbia have a lot of similarities too, even just because of being heavily influenced by Austria.

Imo Czechia and Russia comparison would make more sense

rusgoloids are not Slavs

This.

explain what the sides are

serbians love russia
czechs love germany
but why do they hate poland?

Czech: good, developed, looks to western democracy as its ideal model
Serbian: evil, backwards, looks to oriental despotism as its ideal model

Czechs: peaceful, chill, rich, developed, cultured, drink beer, eat schnitzel, basically slavic-speaking Germans
Serbs: violent, backwards, warlike, poor, drink rakija (vodka), eat kebab, basically slavic-speaking Turks

btw, I still enjoy Serbian culture more just because it's more interesting and "exotic"
Czechs are fine guys but kinda boring

Czechs don't really hate us, they look down on us a bit because we were always lagging behind them but it's changing now as Poland is developing and in some areas (like road infrastructure) Poland is already ahead of them so you can sometimes even see them praising Poland about this or that.

Serbs generally ignore us, on "political" level their nationalists might dislike us because they just slurp Russian propaganda which is extremely anti-Polish + they hate NATO but on individual level Serbs are either indifferent or even positive about Poles. As a Pole I wouldn't be afraid of travelling to Serbia for sure (while I'd never go to Russia).

True. Real slavs aka hohols look like gypsies, Russians are Finno-ugricx.

Serbia

heavily influenced by Austria

We like Poland, they're the only ones who get us

South Korea is the largest foreign investor in Czech Republic. Serbia is the best European friend of Russia, China and NK.

slavic-speaking Germans

Omg. They look tatar and latinx.

yes, whether you like it or not, 1/3 of current Serbia was "always" part of AH and this part directly bordered Belgrade which naturally influenced its culture
Belgrade was always a city combining both western and oriental influences and it could be felt even in 19th century. And since Belgrade culture had a big impact on whole Serbia because of how centralized the country is, obviously all of Serbia borrowed a lot of that.
It can be seen in Belgrade's architecture from late 19th century - whether you like it or not, it was mostly an attempt to mimic Viennese architecture - usually in more tacky, kitschy forms, but still

South Korea is the largest foreign investor in Czech Republic.

b-but my Czech friend said he likes Japan more than Korea????? m-masaka...

that would be Slovaks
we can't really get you that well, especially if you speak fast

holy crap real slav thread this is fucking awesome

yet another thread where Ukrainians will try to prove how everyone is a Slav but Russians are not

I mean, I don't like Russia but I dont see a point to question their Slavness. After all, it's not like being a Slav is something so prestigious so everyone would fight tooth and nail to join this club lmao

The social dynamics of Slavic Europeans have always seemed very complicated
The relationship between South Korea and Japan is not this complicated. We are almost always at odds politically and diplomatically, but we have a common enemy, China. Chinese is the biggest trouble maker in East Asia along with NK. We can join hands when it comes to giving China a headache.

It's because they were historically divided between various "colonial" empires (AH, Ottoman, Russian), thus having different cultural and political developments

The relationship between South Korea and Japan is not this complicated.

yes, because there are many more Slavic countries than just 3, you know

if you added SEA, then suddenly your "social dynamics" would also greatly differ.

You must know that let's say Czechia and Serbia are pretty much what Korea and Vietnam are to each other.

that would be Slovaks

Slovaks wanna go back 50 years and suck Chechen cock because "we don't give them enough respect" or something

I mean, I don't like Russia but I dont see a point to question their Slavness.

They use their claim to Slavness as a claim to dominion over other Slavs, because to a Rusgoloid, "brotherhood" means one brother fucks the others in the ass or kills them. It's how their nobles solved inheritance disputes, it's ingrained into their culture.

because "we don't give them enough respect"

so you mean their whole pro-Russian 180 degree turn is just because they feel like Czechs don't admire them enough? cringe then, they could at least choose us instead, we could respect them as much as they want because we don't have any brother nation in the vicinity

It's a ham-fisted attempt to separate themselves from Russians
It makes no sense because being Slav is only about speaking a Slavic language which Russian obviously is, there's nothing more to it. All the nonsense about slavic race, genetics, culture etc is a brainworms-induced Anon Babble delusion

True.

We don't. Your average Serb has positive indifference towards Poland. If a Serb knows anything about Poland it's those anti-bombing protests which will only bring praise but other than that there were never any bad relations. In a sense Poland is somewhat similar to Serbia historically.
Serbia has some economic ties with EU and other west-friendly countries like SK, there is a relatively recently built SK factory outside my hometown. But it also has both economic and military connections to the CSTO and other CSTO-friendly countries like Iran, though not much with NK. Our position is such that the government has to juggle both spheres with the population overwhelmingly being for the eastern sphere.

In a sense Poland is somewhat similar to Serbia historically.

uhhhh i wouldn't say that but whatever

Hate Poland

Top kek why would we.

CSTO

Literally made for protecting aligned dictator from their own people.

because you generally tend to follow Russian propaganda

You're permanently online. There's some specifics where we're really prone to see things like the Russians do, for example in Ukraine, because people can compare Galicians/Ukrainian Catholics and Ustashe in WWII so people draw parallels, and we have obvious anti-western tendency. But Poland doesn't really concern any Serb and certainly vast majority of us don't hate you. Most are positive or neutral at worst despite your government.

despite your government.

Our government is actually better for you than you might think, they officially meet Vucić for example, even though he's a dictator.

dictator

What's it to you? You do business with Serbia. It's our fault or merit regarding the regime's internal policy. Which is obvious - western Europe fully supports Vucic despite the fact that he's a tycoon. They don't care. So you're not doing us any favours.

but my point is that you implied that our government is somehow negative towards Serbia while it's not true

Your policy of the past 3 decades has been recognition and finance of Kosovo, NATO membership and support of the US policies. It doesn't matter much in the big picture but it is the case.

Poland it's those anti-bombing protests which will only bring praise

Source for that? I know AZOV supported us and sent volunteers but idk anything about Poland

Jesus fucking Christ, Poolaks shouldn't be allowed to speak in such threads.
There are only two West Slavic nations, you moron. Ever since the Middle Ages there were just Poles and Czechs. Slovaks are just something crawled from Tatras and suddenly decided to be a "nation" as well, copying everything from Czechs.

ok, I actually don't even expect Serbs to like Poland, I understand that you have your own interests and we have ours
+ we kinda "have to" like Croats more because we are both catholic and we go there for vacations

SK influence here is really small. They didnt build any 100m$+++ factories here but only do the lowest tier manufacturing. Their company Yura has the worst rep for working rights here. While Japanese Toyo Tires pays 1583 euros net to its workers in Serbia on average. High tech main electric motor producer for EVs Nidec plegded to invest 800 million here. Nothing of such level can be seen from Korean side unfortunately

Point is we still like you or are neutral, the only people who care about the things I wrote are a few boomers.

Well all panslavists here (they are strong here) like you as you are a big slavic country that had never caused us any problems

Well all panslavists here (they are strong here) like you

then they should we aware that we will never ditch our Croat brothers
we can generally stay neutral towards Serbs but if something bad starts happening in the Balkans, we will surely support the chessboard flag.

There wont be any fight with Croats. Currently Bosnian Serbs and Bosnian Croats are allied in Bosnia. This is the biggest portal in croatian Bih and its praising Dodik, our nationalist leader. When he got covid Croatian commentors called him President of Serbs and Croats in Bosnia because formally """"croatian"""" president was elected by bosniak votes and he is traitor in eyes of most croats in bosnia.

We are more likely to have another war with albanians/bosniaks

There wont be any fight with Croats.

knowing the history of yugo wars you know that these things can change literally within seconds, it's 1984-tier

at first we sing that we hate croats...

...only to sing that we love croats

The social dynamics of Slavic Europeans have always seemed very complicated

it isn't
there was always only one regional power (Russia), one country that spend a lot of time vying fo regional power status unsuccessfully (Poland) and everyone else whos top stop on the priority list was simply staying independtend.
and current relations are the following, russia struggles to maintain their regional power status, poland still wants to get their regional power status albeit extremely carefully as to not alienate those who poles would like to see in their sphere of influence because it doesn't have the weight to back up being regional power and everyone else content with their independence.
