Is British English really more European than American English?

Is British English really more European than American English?

Actually no.
American english is an older version of british english that remained relatively frozen.
British accent is much more markedly recent and low class

Shakespeare would've sounded more american than british altough his english was closer to middle english

Nigga aren't you supposed to take your semester finals right now?

You've been glowing up recently
Are things getting better for you?

it is generally accepted that American English is closer to 17th and 18th century English than modern British English is. This is primarily due to the preservation of features like rhotic pronunciation (pronouncing the "r" sound) and some vocabulary choices in American English that have changed in Britain.

You're as ugly as ever

Not yet, they're in Jule but likely I'll just skip them for now and do them in winter. You can do that here.
Not really. Eating better maybe.
How is it being archaic related to it being European?

I'm going to get my swords at Tuesday

eбaть, илюшa, тeбe гopячyю вoдy oтключили?

ты бaшкy тo пoмыл бы, пpeждe cюдa зaливaть, пoзopищe

I explained them here: Why say that, Sasha?

Have you already ordered the armor?
Tepпи. Oт мeня eщё и вoняeт.

How is it being archaic related to it being European?

It resembles english before england began opening to the outside world
Modern english is more of a pidgin

You are jealous of a real medbull

Cheeky basterds ya. I got buckbroken the last few months writing my shitty thesis with ChatGPT and have it calculate all the statistics because IBM SPSS is a huge pile of dogshit.

No, I'm thinking after next vakhta because I'm running low on money already.

American english is an older version of british english that remained relatively frozen.

American english is just as far removed from older versions of english as modern brotish accents are. Just because it's (generally) rhotic doesn't make it more archaic.

Well yes sure and crocodiles are as far removed from early archosaurs as pigeons are but i can figure out they resemble them more than pigeons do

And what relation either of it has to Europe?

Modern english is more of a pidgin

What you think about the Spanish of Spain btw? It sounded like a projection because American Spanish literally lacks a fucking conjugation compared to European Spanish.

Cheeky basterds ya

There are 3 dudes in my uni group who don't show up in the class at all for the whole 2 years already and they're fine.

writing my shitty thesis

Well, at least you're paid for doing it. Here, we should pay for for being in residency, about $8k.
Oh I see. I'd bought the armor first though.

Eh not really. Even the LOT vowel was actually unrounded like in America.

Yesterday I was reading papers on the genesis of Neolithic farmers all day btw. I may post the findings (in Russian).

And what relation either of it has to Europe?

Idk what do you consider european? Geographically? Well england english is spoken in Europe so there's thar.
Anyway its american english spoken by continental europeans. Not british english

Geographically? Well england english is spoken in Europe so there's thar.

Britain is not Europe but India. Brexit means Brexit.

Source? That's what I inquire about.

What you think about the Spanish of Spain btw?

Not a lot.
My grandma was born and lived in spain till she turned 6 methinks

It sounded like a projection because American Spanish

There isnt a vey clear american spanish but i think (some, im not sure if all) spaniards use "vosotros" (a mixture of you and others/plural) rater than "ustedes" (same meaning but different composition)
Innargentina we use the "vos" which is "you" due to galician/portuguese influence, but in spain they use the "tu" like other latinx do.

Also river plate spanish is quite influenced by italian.

Source? That's what I inquire about.

Mutt english is pretty much the standarizd version
Try searching for street interviews in sweden and youll notice they speal american.
British accent is only used in britain

Eh not really they have some absolutely random accents. Also Nordicks are cucks who don't translate the movies, I meant real Europeans like Germans and the French etc.

Yes, the British are usually known as a European country, while Americans, and their language, generally defy conventional wisdom and understanding.

American "English" is an amalgam of regional dialects (due to the cultural makeup of dominant immigrant groups), temporarily popular / situationally dependent "slang," and technical terms and abbreviations, while the Midwestern dialect is generally accepted as the most neutral.

So you firmly suggest British English is more worthy for a Central European like me to speak?

It would probably be easier to learn, if that is what you are looking for.

You see, English is the language all colored people speak. And the thing is, I (op pic) look a lot like a colored person so I need to learn the least brown and the most prestigious accent of English for nobody ever confusing me for a colored person.

Oh, I see your mistake.
No one likes colored people, either, so this should work out well for you.
Have fun!

What accent should I learn to not be confused for a Mexican or an Indian.

Well, we have Afghani in common, so that's a good starting point.

They're just mountain Indians bruh.

Okay so I won another soyduel and now I want to sleep. I keep using American English for now yet.
