Not trying to be mean, just want to know.
Do they hold festivals etc?

Pool party?
no gardens, just endless lawn
Very grim
Think of it as a blank canvas
Ahh...much better

They drive to the nearest Walmart parking lot and loiter
simulated work, also know as video games
because they are slaves
Video games. Literally nothing else to do in a place like this
i think most of Anon Babble was too poor to grow up in places like this, but the kids will find each other and want to play, either games outside in the driveway, sidewalk, or riding bikes/scooters on the streets, or at each others homes playing board or video games or something. there is almost always some small common playground in these neighborhoods
the adults watch sports or netflix on giant 80 inch TV's and in the case of wealthier places like this, they often have hobbies like cycling or jogging or tennis or pickleball they do either on the road/sidewalks or at nearby neighborhood amenities which often include game courts and swimming pools (neighborhood only, generally gated and community members all have their own keys), there are occasionally block parties held either at the neighborhood clubhouse or at one of the homes where it's basically a meet and greet and people grill, play games like cornhole or flag football, and bring camping chairs to sit around in the front yard or driveway. other than that, adults drive to whatever entertainment they want, in this case probably something like topgolf with the family on a saturday. rich americans take a lot of vacations too, often like 4-6 "weekend getaways" where they load the whole family into one of their big ass trucks and go on a roadtrip to a national park or disneyland or something, and usually 1-2 longer (week or two) vacations a year to a place like hawaii or the caribbean
teenagers will spend a lot of time playing video games with each other or loitering at chick fil a or in n out
this type of life is very common in the western US among wealthy white communities, like in utah and arizona. frankly, it's heaven
Haters will say it's lame
Big backyard parties complete with red solo cups
This is honestly what I think about when I imagine America.
And garage sales. Are those still a thing?
What do they do for fun
Stare at screens indoors
the kids will find each other and want to play
This doesn't happen anymore except on parents' own initiative. Most suburbanite children socialize online.
Yes
Take this down NOW. No one can know how we live. We are to maintain a negative potemkin village image in order to ensure the continuance of America.
You haven't really lived if you weren't born in the US
The problem is that every house looks the same. Makes the place uncanny. But this is hardly unique for the US. Look at the housing developments around the edge of Madrid. Exact same copy pasted homes all over. They just closely stacked together
sovl
Blame high modernism then. That's what happens when you mass produce things efficiently.
You have to go somewhere or invite others over to do something. Or buy a trampoline out back or something. All of which likely requiring you or others to drive.
Really it's all just geared to suck our money out.
if they didnt have so many pavement apes in the cities we would have stayed in them
real estate is literally just a contest to see who can spend the most to get the furthest away from blacks without having to drive 2 hours to work
If this looks bad I suggest you looking into Cairo or Kinhasa for an actual city straight from hell
This is very high school oriented. Parking lots serve as staging places for other activities where everybody meets. If there is something else to do then you go together, if not you stay in parking lot all night.
Imagine going to a party and the white suburban stay at home mom with two overachiever kids and white dad who barbeques but doesn’t know how to barbeque and yet is always surrounded by other white Dads who compliment his barbqeuing even though they’re just store bought preshaped frozen patties from Ralph’s or Food 4 Less and while he’s cooking those the white mom comes out and says “okay kids, here’s some pizza!” And she pulls this fruit pizza out and starts telling the kids why its a “fun pizza” and then cries in her master bedroom when no one likes it or finishes it and the white dad is then consoling her why she sobs that she’s a terrible mother and ruined her fourth grade straight B+ sons birthday and thinks her kids hate her but they don’t care but she continues crying softly into her pillow while the children eat poorly cooked burgers with unmelted kraft singles and too much mayonnaise and the only other condiments are two pickles and pepper because the dad calls it his special burger with a secret spice but the spice was just pepper and the kids just keep playing E rated games on their Nintendo Wii while the 17 year old older sister starts cleaning the tragedy up and throwing away uneaten “fun pizza” and whole burgers dejected from the start while she dials Pizza Hut to get these kids an actual birthday lunch and the mother then throws a fit because the daughter did something the kids liked and she didn’t and was the only one making a huge deal out of it and the daughter was then grounded from her TV in her room for only two days and the son went to blow out the candles in his standard birthday cake from food 4 less the mom added strawberries to so she could feel she did something but was still slightly teary and sad because her day was ruined by no one wanting to eat her “fun pizza”
This one triggers my autism you have no idea.
the lawns are for the dog every family owns
Look at their gigantic bank account balance.
muh second amendment shall not be infringed!
AGGHH buses full of minorities everybody run!!
shut your fucking mouth, boomer lover.
Sometimes there's a community center attached to the suburban sprawl which has a pool area, a fitness center, and offices either for rent or for the HOA.
There's a middle ground you know? Sparse suburbs intermixed with commercial and businesses. But nobody ever talks about the good towns that actually do that.
Would also help if new developments didn't literally copy/paste the builds. Makes shit look comical.
The real problem is zoning laws and committees. They're the ones who are supposed to organize a good mix of residential and commercial, but instead they let real estate developers build endless sprawl while confining commercial areas to either the middle of town or places so out of the way there's no way for suburbian families to get to them except via a 20 minute drive.
I'd like to create something like this for the upper class In Brazil, but Brazilians hate each other and don't trust each other enough to want that sort of arrangements.
I saw an ad about something regarding a "alphavile 2", that looked like a row of houses. It looked really weird ngl, but it does look comfy
nothing really happens. I've been in these houses and you live here to isolate yourself from the world. It's so nice to actually live in one, but it's antisocial to an extent.
here in southern california the spoiled kids from these neighborhoods harass people on ebikes for fun. We have this huge waste of space called Irvine CA and the rest of south OC down here that is pretty much 70% this, rest of it is office buildings surrounded with massive roads and parking lots. I wouldn't mind if these were taking up space in actually open space, like the Great Plains, but noooo, they have to take up what little precious Mediterranean-region terrain we have in this country with shit like this to gatekeep this region to the hyperrich of the world, and push out OGs and the poor. Donald Bren also ordered the burning of the Tustin hangar for real estate development.
kids often play with each other in the street
hoa
Thiswas my life growing up but i do fear for the children now. Kids just dont venture out anymore without their parents setting things up for them.
clonazepan
wealthy
1-5MM USD household wealth is white trash, not wealthy. I grew up in zip code 90024 so I can say this with confidence. Relatively, the HOA exurban lifestyle is utter ass, especially for kids. You obviously will fondly look back at it with rosetinted glasses. But come on.
Not anymore.
I see OP's post and all I can think of is a text bubble coming from this shanty house reading
"I'm deeply concerned about the entertainment options of upper middle class people from the united states"
