Just got a new job, waiting for tickets to travel there (North Krasnoyarsk krai), they said it'll start with ~$2500. My last job was around ~$1000 but I was fucking fired after two and a half months or something because I missed my plane to another project in another town.

I earn around 1,350,000 NOK a year before taxes when I include bonuses.

25 €/h, which is okayish but it is also a student job and for that it is on the upper end

$121627/month

What the fuck. What is you job?

In Toronto for people aged 25 to 55 average income is 85k a year and the median is 60k. roughly 1 in 5 adults make 100k or more a year

for 25 to 29 the average is 48k a year, the median is 40k a year. 75th percentile is 67k and the 90th percentile is 90k

~$10000 is still giant money

cant suffer in canada

Used to work remote for a Norwegian company. Pretty sure they took advantage of me by not giving me a proper Norwegian salary, but too much of a jamback (should be an English word) to make a fuss about it. Hired lots of foreigners to work remote, so might have been their thing.

Is this in usd or canadian funny money?

CAD

What's that in real money?

It's all relative, a TSA agent in my city will bring in around $125k a year.

you're the surveyor bro right, are you also that russian whose finger froze off in some trench?

I unironically earn 40k after taxes

I earn like $32,600 a year, bicycle waging

I pay $310/month here. We're complicated. Can actually live super cheap in the boonies.

And he has just to grope people in airport for $10000/month and I have to freeze my limbs in North for fraction of that. Also I Googled once and tecnhitican surveyor makes $5000/month in the US, but the site I used is not accessible anyone. Weird to ask but could you Google that for me?

tf

You're doing it wrong mate

Is it? In the US it would be blue collar-tier.

how much do you earn in your country?

25k (post-tax)

do you make good money by your country’s standards?

no, not even close. i'm in the lowest paying field of all possible fields that require any sort of professional education and experience

Yeah, but it was a joke about finger, I posted it last winter when I was doing guard duty in army. How do you remember this xd

Forgot to answer the second question, yes I'm in the 95th percentile for income in my country.

If it's not a secret, what pays so much per month over there? I think it's very high for the country

no it isnt unless you live in California or NY. 10k per month is upper middle class, aka good but not amazing

$10000 is around 1.000.000₽
New two room apartment in a new building in my city costs about 9.000.000₽

I'm surveyor tecnhitican, going to work in Gasprom's daughter company that specializes on building oil pipes in the northern parts of Siberia.

if someone hires me into a job I'm educated for it will improve a bit

I've seen demoralization videos from your country, people literally make fun of $120k.
For context, I'm middle (almost senior) management at a software company. According to glass door, this would easily get paid >250k even in Bumfuck Nowhere in the US.

In EURO

For people aged 25 to 55, the average income is 58k a year and the median is 41k. Roughly 1 in 5 adults make 69k or more a year.

For people aged 25 to 34, the average is 41k and the median is 35k.

For 25 to 29, the average is 33k a year, the median is 28k a year. 75th percentile is 46k and the 90th percentile is 62k.

For 30 to 34, the average is 46k, the median is 40k, the 75th percentile is 59k and the 90th percentile is 83k.

keeeeeeeeek

What's the threshold for "coasting" money in your country, where you don't have to work? Around $450k is what I've heard, but might be outdated.

Can get a livable pension without ever having worked here at least.

yeah seeing a nepobaby woman getting hired at her dad’s bank to do fuck all for 6 figures is meant to demoralize americans too. most people 25-34 outside of the east coast and los angeles make somewhere around 60k median i’d bet

FYRE people here say that they can manage to retire at 30 and live of ~15 million NOK for the rest of their lives but I think that's overly optimistic and assuming at least 7-9% yearly gains.

im unemployed while at uni

I earn like $1700 post taxes. My first job, working for a year.
I need to start looking for better jobs tho

I see. Well, you may call us socialist, but such high salaries would get taxed almost 90% here.

no it wouldn't you cocksucker

Yes it would. Look up arbeidsgiveravgift, formueskatt etc. There's a reason why people get paid in stocks after a certain income level.

It's not high, it's a bit above average

tfw 75th percentile

OOOOOOO YEAH FUCK YOU POORFAGS (i still live with my mother)

you know mutts lie constantly online right? no you don't make $400,000 your first year starting at nvidia. it's like blind (the site) where they have a culture of putting 6 figure salaries and making up wild numbers at the end of the post so their post is taken seriously

you don't make $400,000 your first year starting at nvidia

how do you know????

In my last job, I made £27k a year, which is a pretty average salary for someone in their late 20s in the UK. I'm a NEET now though.

I could easily manage at least, but I like living off in the middle of nowhere.

thats fucked
did you guys just stop doing stuff in the late 1800s?

With 9% inflation the last two years, I'm not sure it's enough even in the middle of nowhere. Inflation has perhaps been lower in Sweden than here though.

Haven't checked how much I spend recently, but <$900/month used to very easy at least. I'm not typical though. No car, no kids, (no life), etc.

Our economy stopped in 2008.
