I went through this MAJOR Britaboo stage when I was around 16-17 years old. That was when I first found out about legal immigration into Britain and how it's (pretty much) impossible for your average American. It kind of sent me into a low-key depression stage for a while, and I couldn't even stand the site of British people because I was so envious of them that they got to live in Britain and I didn't.

I've lived in London for 33 years.

What's preventing you from moving to clapham or Barnes

It's so expensive it's not worth it for me. I can own a house in my midlands town but would only rent a room in London (from some foreign landlord)

It was cheaper to go to London for the week-end than to go to Florence.
Also everything was super easy and integrated as we were all EU members.
